“A hidden gem in Kamloops!”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We were pleasantly surprised to arrive at the oasis-like property of Cynthia and Gordon. We arrived on a warm afternoon and enjoyed a couple of hours sitting by the river, chatting with other guests and enjoying the complementary wine. Our group stayed in the Salmon Swim and the Eagle Soar -both rooms being well presented and spotlessly clean and contained a microwave, small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was a highlight - tasty and thoughtfully presented. All in all a delightful place to stay and wished we had stayed another night. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

I stayed in the room called "Salmon Swim"; it is small--just fine for one person, a little tight for two. It was immaculately clean and well appointed. On a corner shelf was the choice of one of three bottles of Okanagan wine! What a wonderful gift! The room looks right out over the lawn to the South Thompson River, and in the morning the Canada geese were flying honking their way along it. Very peaceful place, everything carefully attended to. The breakfast was gorgeous! Beautifully presented and very tasty. Cynthia and Gordon, the hosts, were generous with their advice in routes to travel. I'm just sorry I could only be there one night on my way home to Seattle.

We stayed four nights at this fabulous bed and breakfast on the long weekend in August. This B&B is situated right on the Thompson River. Our hosts, Cynthia and Gordon welcomed us like family. Our room, though small, was very comfortable, with a new queen sized bed, bathroom with shower, flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, and comfy chairs. we were invited to enjoy the hot tub, rope swing off the dock into the river, and fire pit in the evening. Words cannot describe how relaxing and fun this weekend was. It was really like staying at a resort. Breakfast was served each morning at 8:30 and all guests ate together in the dining room. The food was excellent, and this was a very enjoyable part of each day. We will definitely be back! Thank you Gord and Cynthia.

We enjoyed almost every aspect of what Riverside had to offer. The charm, the hospitality, the quiet nights, the dock, the fire pit, the skyline, but best of all was getting to meet and know Cynthia and Gordon and the two sweet gals Cassidy and Mariah. We enjoyed everything so very much our friends want to stay with us next time we visit Kamloops. I hope to send a letter to the editor of the Kamloops Daily News to inform him of what a great place Kamloops is.
Please keep your home open for us all to enjoy.
Thanks so very much, R and B

Room Tip: The Loon room overlooked the Thompson river and dock.

We love staying at this B & B. Our hosts Gordon & Cynthia made you feel very welcome.and the breakfast was wonderful.. The view was beautiful sitting out on the deck. We received complimentary bottle wine. We love talking to the other couples staying there at breakfast. We eat dinner at the Storms Restaurant which was great that the host recommended. We will go back again.

This was the first B&B we have ever stayed at. Our first impression was so good! The location is great and the whole place is so cute! We stayed in the eagle soar room and it has the best view! The room was great. Huge closet and bathroom, very nice bed and couches. They have a hot tub, dock, and rope swing out the back. We loved the personal signs outside each room with our names on it. And the breakfast... Oh My God! The best we have ever had! When you enter the main living space, you are surrounded by big glass windows and a gorgeous view of the river. They have fruit and yogurt set out for guests as they arrive. Apple, orange, and cranberry juice on the table with water too. You are offered coffee or tea. Then they cook you the hot part. Both mornings we had bacon, ham, AND sausage, an egg, one morning we had pancakes with home made blueberry compote and the next morning french toast with strawberry compote. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Whenever we are back in Kamloops, we will absolutely stay here again!

Room Tip: Eagle soar is on the top floor with the best view!
