If you can get a seat in the lower section it is a great place to sit and chat over your favourite tea or coffee.

This was an accidental find. We'd intended to go elsewhere, but on our travels discovered this little gem down on Lansdowne Street. It looks inviting, impossible to resist going in, so we gave into our instincts. Good thing too. What a delight! They have an excellent selection of teas and coffees, plus mouth watering desserts, I can vouch, the carrot cake is definitely more-ish. Served with caramel sauce and whipped cream, if you're calorie counting, don't bother! This is where you can indulge your senses as well as palate. Next time we're in Kamloops we'll try the breakfast, lunch, maybe even dinner, but will certainly be back.

Frankly Coffee was a delightful place to grab all day breakfast or a great lunch and of course a wonderful cup of coffee. Sadly, our last few visits have left us a little disappointed.

Frankly Coffee is a nice little coffee house. I'm really unsure as to who they are catering to with the fast, overly upbeat pop/electronic music they always seem to be playing. When I walk in to Frankly Coffee and see the decor, menu and ambiance...this is not what I expect to have assaulting my ears. It's a little much and doesn't lead me to feel relaxed and/or make me want to stay, enjoy food, conversation and coffee. I don't see a large number of young people hanging around drinking lattes plugging away on their laptops. Not sure why they have chosen that type of music. It seems to contradict what this nice little coffee shop has to offer.

The food at Frankly Coffee is usually pretty good! I have enjoyed many lunches by the window. The all-day breakfast: 2 eggs with either ham, bacon or sausage, a side of toast and choice of hash browns or fruit bowl. Always good and pretty straight forward.

On my most recent visit my husband and I both ordered the all-day breakfast. He ordered his eggs over easy with sausage and hash browns and I went for the ham and a fruit bowl also with over easy eggs. When our food arrived the server mentioned that yolk of my eggs had broken when she flipped them over and that they were a bit over cooked and messed up. I told her that it was ok I didn't want to wait to have them cook another batch. I was a bit disappointed because I do enjoy dipping my toast in the soft egg yolks. Not a problem though. My husband's over easy eggs on the other hand were not only over cooked...they were burnt and his hash browns were white, uncooked and flavourless. The server never came back to check on us. (Being that it's a coffee shop, so I'm not sure if that's even something they do)

There aren't very many places to have a nice breakfast, lunch or great cup of coffee in Kamloops. I used to really enjoy visiting Frankly Coffee for a nice meal, a latte and great conversation. Maybe they are looking at drawing in a different type of client now? With the fast paced dance music and mediocre breakfast we just had recently...I'm not sure we will bother returning.

Frankly has got everything you might want in a coffee shop with some nice extras. Great coffee of course and some really nicely homemade baked goods as well as cheescake and great sandwiches. But that is just a portion of their menu. They've also got very good lunch and dinner entrees. A wine list and a selection of bottled beer on hand, Frankly has just about got it covered. And the great coffee shop atmosphere with quality music playing and nice quiet corners window seats and outdoor tables. I have enjoyed many coffees on the deck and inside in a nice high backed chair. Everything condusive to a great coffee shop.
