We decided to have a starter each with just one salad & we got so much food we could not finish it. It was delicious & the service was excellent considering the place was packed

We had been driving from Wells Gray Provincial Park into Kamloops, and stopped at this eatery. As it happens we were in a hurry to catch a train, so the server and Megan the manager, did everything they could to see that we were served and could enjoy our dinner in a timely fashion. There are not too many options here, so I would recommend the Noble Pig. Also, they have some interesting Canadian choices that we Americans might enjoy tasting.

We were on a business trip for 3 days and were looking for a different place for dinner after work. The staff at our hotel told us about the Noble Pig so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed, the food was great and the beer was excellent. The craft brew is on par with the best in Portland and the three I sampled were outstanding. The only downside, which is relatively minor, was the noise in the place. Yes, very noisy but as I said, a minor problem. I would recommend the Noble Pig, no questions.

We are on a Rocky Mountaineer journey from Jasper to Vancouver and staying overnight in Kamloops. We had gourmet service on the train and looking for some 'light' food to eat. The Nobel Pig provided great food, the Duck Wings were really good, and the staff were very friendly.

We are staying overnight in Kamloops en route from the Rockies to Victoria. We are from the UK and have never been to this town. Initially, we were a bit unsure about going into the Noble Pig. However, as the other restaurants in the downtown Kamloops area did not seem very interesting, we thought we would give this restaurant a try. Besides, it seemed very busy with many customers, so we thought if it had attracted so many people, it must be good! We were not disappointed.
We have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. The waitress came to take our orders. Eventhough I was rather fastidious and requested certain changes to what was available to the meal, she obliged. My partner was easier to please so his order was easy. Although the waitress did not write down our order, she remembered everything we asked for.
We started with sharing a huge green salad - with a different dressing from what was in the menu.
Then, for the main course, my partner had mushroom risotto with chorizo, and I had curried prawns with rice, asparagus and naan bread, sprinkled with fresh coriander. Being Asian, I know what a good curry should taste like, and this curry was lip-smacking good! My partner said his risotto was also delicious. Both dishes came piping hot.
We believe all the beers were home-brewed and one we ordered tasted really nice.
The meal came to Canadian Dollars 50 including tips . Another thing nice about this restaurant was that the waitress was extremely polite about suggesting the tip but not exerting any pressure, unlike many restaurants in Canada where the waiters/waitresses almost "demanded" from customers about tipping. Her polite gesture made us feel it was a pleasure to tip her. Besides, her service was very good and she really deserved it.
We do not understand why some people made unfavourable comments about this bar/restaurant and one even said that the service was poor and food cold. Was s/he in the same restaurant as we were? We cannot recommend the Noble Pig highly enough - it is probably one of the best meals we have had during over visit to the Rockies and British Columbia.
