Using this hotel as an overnight stop and it,s one of the higher spec hotels in the area. On arrival it looks like a converted motel but you will be surprised when you walk inside, it's big spacious and has an interesting undercover area. However try and avoid the mis mash of a menu in the restaurant, it doesn't quite know what it wants to sell and the service was quite poor.
The bar closed at 10:30 on a Friday night which was a little strange. All in all I think if the restaurant was sorted out this hotel would get a higher rating.

I am happy to hear you enjoyed the hotel and will most certainly pass along your comments on the lounge closing early on the Friday while you were here. Thank you for staying with us. Please do come again.

We stayed in this hotel as the first night stop in our Rocky Mountaineer trip from Vancouver to Jasper. While the service was OK the room and location were a little disappointing.

Most of the accommodation in Kamloops appears to be well out of town and the bus drive was a good 20 minutes from the railway station.

When we arrived the noise in our room was deafening from the pool area which is enclosed by the rooms on all 4 sides. The result is an echo where all the noise is amplified. Nevertheless it did stop by 10pm when the pool closed.

The bar/restaurant was very reasonable and tasty, so the experience was not all bad.

I hope your Canadian vacation was a great experience. I am sorry to hear that the children enjoying the pool disturbed your stay and that you were generally disappointed with the location of hotels in Kamloops. Regrettably, location is the one thing we are unable to change. We have updated our property to offer fresh, spacious guest rooms, along with friendly, helpful staff and great food. Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us.

Stayed at the Coast for three nights. Staff all very friendly, room service fast, and of good quality. Rooms slightly dated. I would recommend an outside facing room for fresh air flow. If you get an inside room your balcony opens to the Atrium limiting any fresh air :( however, if you have kids you can see them swimming in the hotels indoor pool :)

Was able to stay on a Friday evening without a reservation and got the corporate rate. Very, very nice staff in the hotel and restaurant. I left my laptop in the restaurant and it was kept safe at the front desk. Helpful staff the next day upon check out with directions to various locations in town. Great view from the restaurant. Large rooms.

I hadn't stayed here for while. Attended a conference. This place has been nicely fixed up. Rooms and bathrooms are modernized and quiet. The lounge is great and what super views.Very professional at the front desk - i value that.

Room Tip: A balcony room facing north is better for the views. Don't worry about the highway, it's a...

My room for one person was larger than I needed. The two queen-sized beds still allowed for a comfortable sitting area, a dresser with a giant screen TV, an armoire and an area for microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. The bathroom was clean but seemed small compared to the rest of the room. I attended a conference so had little time to spend in the room.

Two things were a bit disappointing: The room had a small window and overlooked the courtyard with swimming pool and hot tub. With no natural light, even with the curtains pulled back, the room was really dark. I always needed two to three lamps on. Second, my only time to use the pool would have been one evening after 8 pm. It was filled with pre-teens until closure at 10 pm. There were also pre-teens running up and own the hall until 11 on the three nights. It was a holiday weekend so tolerance was required. However, it would have been nice for a bit of adult recreation time.

A nice perk was free parking. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. All staff were cordial.

Room Tip: Get a room with an outside view.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. All of our guest rooms are quite large, which is why even as a single guest you had ample space to relax within your room. The natural lighting in the rooms which border the atrium varies, based on the weather and time of day. With the back wall of the atrium being completely glass, the brightness from there is much more obvious on the sunny days. Fortunately Kamloops is a sunny city enjoying an average of over 2,000 hours of sunshine annually. For the times that it is not, we have set up these interior rooms with multiple lamps for additional lighting. Great to hear you enjoyed the services of our team and the complimentary parking. Please do come again.
