Recently retired in Kamloops and checked out all the courses when we 1st got here. Kamloops Golf & Country Club was heads above the others for what we were looking for. The renovations have made it one of the best courses in the area and when it matures a little more (probably by this season) will be the best course in the area. What attracted us the most was how walkable it is, even on the hot days there is plenty of shade with all the trees. The course is challenging for all levels of golfers from the starter to the low handicapper. Had my son in law out from Calgary who is a scratch golfer and a member of Willow Park and he couldn't stop raving about how good shape the course was in especially for a new track. The Country Club aspect of the name is a little misleading as the Club House which is an older building which is scheduled to be replaced is very pleasant but far from other Country Clubs I have visited. The staff especially in the Club House go beyond expectations to make sure your visit is enjoyable and depending on when you visit the Red Seal Chef on staff will make sure you don't leave hungry.
Make sure you visit the next time you are in Kamloops
