Popping into the cafe when we were out and about our first lunch in Harrison we were dazzled by the duck breast sandwich with potato soup. Not being overly hungry we decided to split one order and the kitchen were so kind to separate the order for us.

The duck breast, perfectly seared, on toasted cranberry bread, cranberry sauce with some arugula was exceptional. If you need to ever have a picnic ready meal to take out while you're exploring the area

Great coffee, granola bars and sandwiches! Great sign: Welcome ....sit long...talk much. Great to have permission to just hang out and enjoy conversation with friends....and we did just that without feeling like we were taking up space.

We found this lovely cafe by reading the reviews on this site. We are so glad we went there.
The cafe is right across from the lake. There is a patio area, but we liked their interior so much we decided to sit inside.
People worked there were so friendly, the food was excellent.
We went there for breakfast. I was tempted to have their pastries but we decided to have something more filling.
I ordered English muffin with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, my hubby had ham and scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese on a roll. We each had a Americano with our food.
The roll was from Cobs Bread, and the fruit and vegetables were locally grown.
The food took a little while to arrive, but in such a nice setting, we were very content to sip our coffee and enjoy a lazy morning.
The food was so beautifully presented. Both plate served with mixed fruits. Mine had pretty generous amount of smoked salmon, which was so delicious. My hubby was also very happy with his plate.
We had to head the road shortly after breakfast, otherwise, we'd have gone back to try their burgers and homemade soup.

This was a very pleasant surprise. We asked a few locals on arrival where we could find excellent local cuisine using local sourced product....no one had a clue...int he heart of all this farmland! We happened pen Muddy Waters and were completely blown away but the menu. We tried the house made garden burger on a very fresh bun with salad and a local duck breast sandwich with local made...possibly house made, I can't recall, cranberry bread. The food was flawless.

On,y downside is the service while friendly was slow and disorganized. Was was forgotten and forgiven when we tasted the food.

The typical local response was that they knew Muddy Waters had good coffee...but they serve food? Wake up people, you have a rock star in your midst and they deserve your support.

Spotted this little cafe on my morning walk and ordered an espresso. It is really difficult to find a cafe/restaurant that makes good espresso. I usually find them bitter or burnt tasting but this little gem got it right. Needless to say i ws in there every morning and afternoon sipping double shots!
I grabbed a brownie square to go and wished I had a couple more.
My friend tried their pulled pork sandwich and stated that this would be THE place for lunch the next time we visit Harrison.
