Just spent a week @ Hicks lake camping (two tents) as a family with (two kids).
This would be our sixth year visiting different BC Provincial Parks so we speak with
some authority in saying this park has the smallest sites we have encountered.
Suffice to say privacy is poor since most sites have very little separation.
Due to staff cut backs by BC Parks, we found that the park was not as clean as we
expected (beer bottles, pop cans on the beach). As well there is no host/operator on site and if there is excessive noise or a camper lets his dogs run on the beach
there's no way to notify the staff. There's no patrol after 10PM. Cell phones don't work in this area.
The lake and setting is beautiful. The most private site is # 37
