no a/c in the rooms? yuck! pools need to be cleaned more often. the bathrooms need updating. check in was easy and fast. this is more like a motel not a resort. we were in room 213. the rooms have a nice tv but its the only thing nice in them.

Most of the rooms at the resort have air conditioning. There are some older rooms, in the main part of the hotel, that do not have AC. We offer a variety of room rates to our guests to allow everyone the chance to enjoy the mineral pools. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us.

Classic Resort suited to families and couples alike. Wonderful location. Our room had a view of the lake and mountains with nice balcony to enjoy meals (Room service was very good, better quality and less expensive than local restaurants) and relax. The hotel is casual but clean and good service. Excellent Air Conditioning system but large sliding doors for fresh air as well. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel, good selection, reasonably priced $16 for everything. Second floor seating is available indoors/outdoors with a great view of the lake. Pools were wonderful, five types each with meeting different needs. Food/drinks available all day by the outdoor pools. Room had a fridge. We enjoyed a wonderful scenic bike tour from the hotel around the local area to all the farms (Circle Tour or Slow Food Tour). Cycling is flat and easy ride prepare to have a few hours to make the trip. Bikes may be rented in town. A nice piece of history. Take a walk beside the hotel along the lake to find the "source" of the hot springs. We were also able to bring our dog.

Room Tip: 6606 - View of lakes and mountain and seawall. Shaded balcony for enjoying the afternoon and great m...

We recently stayed at this hotel for a 50th Anniversary party. Our reservation was made 2 months in advance. Our room was a part time hospitality suite with a bar. It was in terrible condition with stained rugs and furniture unfit for a secondhand store. Furniture was badly scratched and worn. Cobwebs were inside and the outside furniture on the balcony needed wiping down before use.. We had asked for a king sized bed and got an ancient, squeaky Murphy bed. Rate $220 a night plus parking and taxes. We were told the hotel was full. We wrote to the managers. No reply. On the positive side, we dined with a group at the Copper Room. Food and service were good.
Have stayed at many hotels for half the price and they were lovely. Will not return.

Room Tip: Stay in the tower .

Obviously a long established old time resort, just check out the copper room! Great selection of pools, indoor and outdoors, one for adults only all open late. We were on a breakfast and dinner package I would recommend taking the voucher to lakeside restaurant, better value. Buffet breakfast offers lots of choice but can get very busy. Great for a few days relaxation.

Stayed for two days in late June. The hotel itself was okay; our room was clean but quite dated and tired. It was billed as a garden view room but actually looked out onto a row of privacy hedges blocking off the main walkway to the spa; luckily it was mid-week and not terribly crowded or the noise would have made it hard to sleep. Other family stayed in the cabins; while they were spacious and good for a family, they were quite musty and dated and I was glad not to be staying in one. The hot springs were nice enough, but I have been to much better in California; I really didn't think they were nice enough to make up for the expense of the hotel. The staff were nice and helpful and friendly. The gardens were nice and well maintained. Had drinks at the bar a couple of times; the drinks were adequate but not good, and the bartender was a trip. The area is stunningly beautiful, but unfortunately most of the lake views are ruined by a florescent inflatable water park area. It was family-friendly, but I appreciated the separate pool for adults. My main complaint was that the hotel was incredibly overpriced for what we got; I felt completely ripped off. Charging for parking was also annoying; weren't we paying enough already? We didn't try any of the restaurants other than coffee in the little cafe off the lobby, which was fine. Overall I felt very nicked-and-dimed. Would not recommend.

Room Tip: Don't stay in a first floor garden room--too loud. We stayed in one of the newer sections and e...

M boyfriend and I have made Harrison our getaway location and we always stay at Harrison Hot Springs Resort (we've stayed there 4 times).

It can be pricey but deals are available if you look (Eg. room rate on their website was 159 we got ours for 119 through Travelocity). The hotel service is always great and I highly recommend their buffet for dinner.

Only downside is that the hotel could use an update. The rooms are always clean, but they are dated.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade at the front desk. They can be very accommodating. And don't get a pool facin...

This is a great place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Canada and specifically Lake Harrison. The weekends are very busy but the weekdays are super. The pools are open very late and there is a separate adults pool so no one is unhappy. The pool bar has decent food and frozen daquiries and margaritas! The staff is super friendly and helpful in every way. The cookies and tea everyday at 4 takes me back to the Catskills in the 70's, it adds to the resorts charm. Yes! It could use some new paint, and yes there are stains on the carpet, but for the price it is just fine. We went biking and hiking and did lots of walking. The only issue with the room was the musty smell and that was nothing a bottle of lavender and mint spray freshener didn't get rid of along with open windows!
We had a hard time finding good food, and everything is expensive but The Hungry Chef was a winner. Especially compared to the rest. Not sure we will come back agsin, but enjoying every moment we are here.
