“Relaxation Destination”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

Nothing luxurious about the accommodations here. It's all about the lovely grounds and hot spring pools. Didn't use spa services this stay, but in the past they have been very professionally run.

Our meals were catered, and they were very good.

Our stay was mid-week, so there weren't children around. I can see where they would detract from the relaxation if inadequately supervised.

The staff is always friendly and helpful.

This resort could be amazing and there is definitely a lot of potential. The pools and the atmosphere are perfect for a romantic/relaxation getaway. However, the problem is the fact that families just let their kids run wild and do not respect other guests who are there to have a relaxing getaway.

I strongly urge the hotel to change their adult hours to start at 8pm. I was there on a Sunday night when the hotel was only half full, and there was screaming kids right up until 10pm. Don't even think of going to the inside pool either because their screaming echos off the walls and makes it even louder. Now I understand that this is just those particular families not keeping their kids quiet but the hotel staff does nothing regarding it. During the buffet breakfast there was numerous kids roaming around tables and chasing each other and running around.

The hotel sort of needs to decide if this place is meant as a relaxing spa where you can rejuvenate or unwind or if it is just a family play place. Stricter rules need to be enforced to ensure that parents are indeed watching their kids and keeping them under control.

Room Tip: Get a room on the ground floor near the adult pool in the new building. I am not sure if they charge...

This resort is located only two hours from Vancouver International Airport but is a great getaway spot for couples and families who live in the local area. Hotel is well maintained and provides professional service. Food service is fresh and well presented. A special meal could be had in the Copper Room at the resort or there is a good array of choices within walking distance of the hotel.

The resort has a lovely spa with a variety of treatment options. The hot spring pools are really nice. Very en naturel ! Like walking trails around the property and the lake. A very nice place to sit back also and just rejuvenate.

Room Tip: main section of hotel has no air conditioning in the rooms. The lake view rooms are phenomenal but i...

It was a weekend getaway with friends. We stayed in the East tower. We were very disappointed with the outdated hotel and room (the sink was old and cracked, the carpets were filthy). The exercise room was very outdated and some of the machines were falling apart!I felt like I was staying at a Days Inn or the Ramada Inn (some of the Ramada Inns I stayed at were better taken cared of than Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa!). For the amount we paid we expected better quality within the hotel. It was very overpriced for the value. Luckily it is known for the Hot Springs and nice views from some parts of the hotel because those are the only reasons we would ever come back.

I really enjoyed the Pork Ribs dinner; for $30 for the meal, a salad and a beer, a good value coming out of the EU high prices for food. That meal and the service was a 9 out 10 (needed a nicer background music atmosphere for a 10).

I found the breakfast buffet ok, nothing exceptional. No artisan bread, and no local products on the buffet, despite being in an agricultural area of the Fraser Valley. But perhaps this reflects the client base they are now serving.

I don't like the more western music played in the Cafe or throughout the hotel (too loud and too country for my tastes). This place used to have a more 'high end' feel and today's younger 'high end' isn't the over 50s' high end.

The front desk went out of their way to accommodate my noise sensitivities and moved me when four rooms of people showed up with a pile of children, who ran between rooms until 11 pm.

I wanted more of a quiet adult experience and found too many kids here for a Thursday.

You can get good deals by calling the hotel and booking directly with them. Tea and goodes are set out at 4 pm. You can go in your bathrobe and bathing suit.

Room Tip: the main building and west wing not well insulated. they are the lower priced options.

I stayed at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa to get away and just have ME time.

The staff were very helpful, the Buffet breakfast was awesome having Ken the Omelet chef entertain his guests while whipping up our favorite omelets. The Copper Room was a great treat, the 3 course Meal was superb specially the Salmon. And the best part is the Spa at the resort..

We live in the area and have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 30 years. Lately we've started to take our young (preschool) grandkids. It's a nice hotel. You have a variety of rooms to pick from. And at a variety of cost. One of the nicest aspects of this place are the pools. Three outdoors (two hot and one warm) and two indoors. One of the outdoor pools is adult only while all the rest are open to all. There is one outdoor pool that is great for young kids as it is quite shallow. We find that your best bet is to check for a package. The last one was for two nights room and breakfast plus one dinner. The Copper Room is quite pricey but the food is top notch.
An alternative is the LakeSide which is part of the hotel. Or you can just walk down the street to a number of other places. In our opinion the best is the Homesteaders Restaurant and Pub.
It's about a five minute walk from the hotel. But good prices and good food.
