“Small but amazing!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

I love this place, they make it look so real and its always a new experience. I will say going when its raining can be a bummer but its still a pleasant experience. They play a little homemade movie in the theater in my opinion its really good. Then they have a beautiful garden and some animals you can feed food too. What I like most about it is its for all ages, some parts of the fort is museum themed and other parts is like a petting zoo which kids love. Its amazing and for all ages. I LOVE this place!

“good for kids day trip”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

This is a good place to learn history and the historical events that took place during fur trades and gold rush; there are presentations on daily basis and its interesting to learn about part of Canadian history and get entertained at the same time.

“Nice day trip close to home”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Fun for children. They love the interactive stuff. After the fort go into the town. They have great coffee at the bookstore cafe. And if you want a longer walk hike the Fort to Fort trail. Good way to spend a Sunday

“Learn about the frontier days from the HBC times”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Had a great time as a family visiting from the UK, and ensuring that the children had both a great time and also a time to learn about the history of the fort and the Hudson Bay Company and how things were in this part of Canada during I suppose the 19th century, the gold rush and the need to move west and keep the US expansion in check. We were fortunate in that some school classes including a Year 6 from Coquitlam were visiting to cover this part of their curriculum, and we were allowed to tag along. This was really helpful as otherwise our children and to some extent us, would have been a little ignorant of what these things meant, be it furs or coopering. Also had a nice time buying a few things from the shop, and my son's attempt to count the number of freight trucks on a train that was passing nearby - he stopped after about 100. The cost is very reasonable, and having people to effectively show how things were done (see photos attached) really made the time that we spent there really good. If we were armed only with the guide book / leaflet, this would not have been half as good. Thank you.

“Great Place to go back to”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

I went here as a kid and enjoyed it then, I enjoyed it again coming back and hope to go back again. It keeps changing and the events they do keep changing, a great place to go to and go back to. The interpreters were very friendly and interesting. Loved the musket shots display, especially as the CN train also came at the same time.
