“A little history and a fun day tour”

The whole area is fun to walk around in - antique shops, ice cream, cafes, etc. The Fort itself has wonderful tours, especially for young children.

“Grave Tours - A "Spooky" Time and a good time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2011

We recently went on the Graves Tours, a tour offered through the Ft Langley NHS, which run weekends during October. They are an interesting way to learn more about the history of the Fort and the town of Ft Langley itself. They involve a bit of walking starting at the visitor centre at Ft Langley NHS then a walk down to the river where the stories start. From there a walk to what is left of one of the two cemetaries you visit where once again several interesting stories were told. From there a short stroll across town to the main cemetary where you visit some graves and learn of love and loss. From there you head back to the fort and then end your tour in the fort itself with a tour of the Big House and a storey of a "guest" they have there. It ended with a campfire and an exchange of several tales from the people on the tour.

The tour, while touching on the paranormal, really gives you a feel for the history of the Fort and the people that built it, lived, and died there, over the years. One thing it did do, it made me want to go back again and experience more.

“Beautiful Fall Day”

Fort Langley is a short highway drive from North Vancouver with plenty to see and do. Window shopping, sightseeing, strolling the old fashioned town and some funky places to dine.

Sounds like you got a good look around Fort Langley village. Isn't it charming? Our site is located just on the outskirts of town - the historic Hudson's Bay Company post. We hope you will get a chance to visit it sometime.
