“Quaint and Classy Haute Cuisine in Duncan.”

This restaurant is excellent and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good restaurant in the Cowichan Valley. Its Haute Cuisine in a cozy unpretentious atmosphere. One look at the beautifully renovated old house that they've turned into a fabulous restaurant will make you want to go there. It is just off Canada Ave. on First Street in Duncan so very easy to find and near the downtown area. Chef Dan Hudson was also on Top Chef Canada and represented us very well. Dan and his wife Andrea own and run it and with his incredible talent in the kitchen and her background in hospitality you are treated to an incredible experience. Also, the staff are very knowledgeable about the food and the wines they serve and I can't say enough about the service...excellent!

“Been twice, will keep coming back”
Reviewed January 6, 2014 via mobile

Not much to choose from as far as "fine dining" goes in the area... So this is pretty special. The male server there in particular is great to deal with, and I've never had a bad dish there. Some better than others (the gnocchi stands out in my mind), but all great. The only negative would be that they have a very limited scotch selection.

“Great romantic experience”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

My wife and I went here for our Christmas dinner out that we do every Christmas. We had a later reservation as there were Christmas parties, which was great so we wouldn't be waiting behind large groups. When we arrived we were taken upstairs to a small, cozy and at this time empty room, which you could close the door and not hear the parties below. The service was impeccable, there when you wanted them, not there when you didn't. Our appetizers were excellent, mine was duck leg and my wife had crab, both elegantly presented and very good. I found them large for an appetizer. Our dinners were excellent also, me with arctic char and my wife with beef cheeks. An excellent dessert and a good by the glass wine list also made the experience. It is not cheap, but for the full dining experience, you must go here, highly recommended.
