The architecture showcases some of the wonderful natural resources of our area and the staff do all they can to get the word out about events and activities!

This centre has good reviews for the helpfulness of the staff, the day we went this was not the case. We are newly moved to the area and wanted to know what celebrations were planned locally for Canada Day which was two days away. The lady we asked was very pleasant but did not have a clue! She did however recommend something that was going on in Vancouver. Yes really. We found out later that there was a big event right next door in the BC Discovery Centre and plenty more things elsewhere. So no marks for her. Must have been an off day.

How unfortunate that the information you were looking for was not readily available. It perplexes me why we would suggest something in Vancouver! Perhaps she was thinking of bigger celebrations in Victoria.

Easily available around the Cowichan Valley are the "What'sOn Digest" as well as "The Valley Voice" who usually have all the what is going on at least several weeks in advancement for your planning.in the area.

We carry both of these items at our Visitor Centre so please do not hesitate to stop in again.

The lady who spoke to us was very helpful, telling us all abour Chemainus and Ladysmith. She then mentioned The Totems of Duncan so we went there first. We were made to feel very welcomed and there's plenty of information here.

Great and helpful staff. So much information available for just about any tourist interests. This visitor center just might even add more to "where to go, what to do" ideas.

This is a convenient stop just off the Trans Canada Highway. Plenty of parking and if you have a trailer, it's easy to get in and out of. The folks are well versed in the area attractions and they have all the brochures and maps you need. They have access to all the BnB's and will call the if you wish. Highly recommended for a tourist if they are new to the area.
