“A must do”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

I live in the Cowichan Valley. Took me a few years to get to this attraction. I have now taken all our extended family and guests and they are bringing people back. There are a number of species included in the flying demonstration and you will get a chance to see them all up close and personal. Some even fly past just over your head. I treated my niece to a Hawk Walk, which involved walking along a path in the woods in a group of 5 and we each got to 'catch' and 'release' the hawk several times as it flew back and forth between us at several points along this path. Great experience I would definitely repeat as often as I could. Tranquil, interesting, etc. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that I believe there is room for improvement for some the cages and 'compounds' where the birds live. Of course that likely depends on how many visitors come to this attraction.

“Raptors”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We have been to Pacific Northwest Raptors many times. Whether by ourselves, taking visitors or our grandchildren it is a wonderful experience. There are many birds to see but the highlite is always the live flying demonstration with very knowledgable handlers. Highly recommend this

“Exciting and educational !!”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Our group ranged from 4 to 75 years old and we all had a great time. The flying demo gave the kids a chance to see and recognize the raptors close up. Seeing a Bald eagle just feet from you and feeling your hair ruffle as a Great Horned Owl flies over you is an amazing experience--as is learning the benefits of a Turkey Vulture. Robin was our presenter and knew each bird intimately. The mixture of science, humour, crowd interaction and birds swooping over you kept everyone entranced. We have already recommended it to several people.

“Amazing place - Go There!!!”
Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

We went for the flying demo at 1:30pm and stayed for the 2 hour raptor experience. The staff was great and especially Tina that did the 2 hour experience. The birds are amazing to see so close up. On the experience portion we were able to fly and feed and Great Horned Owl named Spock, and hold 3 other different types of owls during the first hour. In the second hour we were able to hold and feed two falcons before heading out on a Hawk Walk. Anakin the Harris Hawk guided us through the forest while Tina explained how the hawks hunting this way.

Highly recommend visiting this place and doing one of the educational experiences if you like raptors.
