I've been meaning to write this review for some time. We stayed at Stonewood last August for a night and wished we had stayed longer. We spent the night in the "Pond room" which was beautiful and had a lovely view onto the garden. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The breakfast, as highlighted by others on this site, was excellent.
The thing that really stood out however, were our hosts. Rob and Susie were so welcoming, we didn't want to leave! A big thank you to Rob and Susie for a superb stay.

Our one night stay here was a gift from our daughter. Rob and Suzie were the perfect hosts. They received us warmly and made us feel instantly at home. Rob prepared the most amazing breakfast: coffee, orange juice, yoghurt parfait, eggs benedict served with asparagus wrapped in bacon, and delicious toast and Jam. Their home is gorgeous, modern and beautifully furnished. The king size bed in our elegant room was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
The grounds are beautiful, the large pond amazing and the surrounding area very quiet.
Rob and Suzie have spared no detail to provide the best to their guests. We look forward to repeating the experience again in the future.

We had a fantastic time at the Stonewood B&B in January, 2014. The room was gorgeous, the property itself is idyllic, the breakfast was incredible, and the bed was absolutely the comfiest bed we've ever slept in. We only stayed a night, but would love to return as soon as we get the chance! Rob and Susie were the perfect hosts, and we look forward to seeing them again!

My husband and I stayed at the Stone Wood B&B in May 2012. We still reflect fondly on our visit there and are making plans to return. The couple who run the B&B are lovely people. They prepared the most delicious, gourmet breakfasts for us, highlighting local ingredients and specialty items produced in the area (like tea from the local organic tea farm). They were incredibly helpful in pointing out the local hiking trails and things to do. We also simply enjoyed their company.

The B&B itself was elegant, luxurious, and peaceful. It is beautifully constructed with expansive, almost floor to ceiling windows overlooking a pond. You could wake up in the morning to watch a deer wandering around the yard, and could comfortably cosy on up inside with a good book, wifi, or cable if you didn't feel like going out.

We enjoyed our stay so much we phoned up our parents and they booked a visit while we were there. We all agreed that to be at Stone Wood is to live the west coast dream.

Thanks for the Great review. I'm so bad at responding that I'm now sitting on the beach in Puerto Vallarta drinking a beer trying to catch up. Oh well I guess I'll have to suffer. LOL Susie and I look forward to seeing you again and hope that your winter isn't too bad.

Over the Christmas holidays, we decided to take a quick trip up to Duncan to visit relatives. Our kids would stay with them, but my husband and I wanted a little getaway. Stone Wood delivered getaway in spades. What a comfy bed, beautiful room, and delightful hosts. The breakfast was great -- beautiful eggs, bacon-wrapped asparagus, and a hearty yogurt parfait. We know the area fairly well, so we didn't have a hard time finding it. If you're in Duncan, you likely have a car, so although it's a bit out of the way, we didn't find that an issue at all. What a great and cost-effective alternative to a nasty highway-side motel! Thanks Rob and Susie!
