We visited Chilliwack for the second time and had an amazing week. On Monday morning I hooked a huge sturgeon that we could not control! It took us ten miles downriver and after one and a half hours we managed to beach this huge record sturgeon-the largest freshwater fish caught on rod and line in the world according to the international press- and safely released it back to the Fraser River! It was an amazing day, backed up by superb boat handling and help from Dean Werk of Great River Fishing Adventures, based on Chilliwack, British Columbia. News of our tremendous catch hit Canadian Television and the Internet and photos went all over the world! Dean is a great guy and Jeff, Curtis and Benny, who we also had helping us during the week's fishing, were just as great! Go fishing in British Columbia!
