Great stay and can not think of any reason to not give this an excellent rating. Very nice, spacious, reno'd rooms and great king mattress and linens. Easy and quick access to Hwy. Good, reasonable breakfast buffet. Probably the best choice in Red Deer.

Our Friday night stay at the Sheraton started off wonderfully - the staff was pleasant and we had a few complimentary services due to the reasoning behind our stay.

Unfortunately - as the purpose of a hotel is to sleep, we were extremely frustrated when we went to bed and could hear the bass from the 12th floor. Keeping in mind, that was through the earplugs. We laid wide awake until midnight and decided to phone the front desk. As soon as I phoned and indicated the issue - they immediately responded by saying "oh, well it can't be the Bar - you are up too high" and they said they would sent security. My husband then had to phone and indicate the bass was coming up through the structure of the building and there was no chance of being able to sleep until that ceased.

They moved us 3 floors down and only 2 doors further away from where we had been. I believe the bass was in fact louder from that area. Fortunately, we only had another 2 hours until the bar closed. As the A/C in the room was so loud, we dropped out temperature to ensure it was running at least until 2, but still no chance of sleeping.

We brought our concern to the front desk upon check out and essentially were advised that there are never complaints from the floor we were on and perhaps there was a special conference happening at the bars in which resulted in louder bass. They also alluded to the fact that they don't get many of those types of complaints, which they later back pedalled from.

There is no reason this hotel should be charging full price for this location. Perhaps the weekly visits do not have this issue and it seemed as though the weekend crowd consisted mostly of those individuals who would be out at those bars. We found this particular employee to be condescending in her interaction with us regarding with our concerns.

In the end the front desk indicated someone would be in touch on Monday to discuss our options. We have not heard back as of yet.

Overall - this visit did not at all meet our expectations of a Sheraton. If you are looking for a place to rest and enjoy a full nights sleep, this is not the place for you.

Room Tip: Rooms on the highest floors higher than and furthest away from the two night bars (one is a country dance bar) attached to the hotel will perhaps assist in sleeping while you are visiting there over the weekend.

Thank you, for taking the time to inform us of your recent stay at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel. Please accept our sincerest apologies, to you and your husband for the experience while staying with us.

We appreciate that we were chosen as the venue for this recent stay in Red Deer and that you took the time to communicate these concerns with us. From the noise from the base, the movement of the room to another room that was noisy from both the base and from the air conditioner unit, to the lack of concern or response when you took the time to inform the Front Office. You chose the Sheraton expecting a certain level of quality and service that we did not achieve at your recent stay.

Please know that every comment is being taken very seriously by our Hotel Management Team. As a hospitality provider we strive every day to exceed our guests expectations, and from this feedback we understand that in many ways we did not achieve this during your recent event. As the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel our goal is to show our guests an even higher standard of service that we strive to adhere to each and every day.

We truly look forward to an opportunity in the future to welcome you and your family back to our hotel.

Great place for food and entertainment. Rooms are clean and comforatble. Great lounging areas. Amenities were terrific. What got me was the little details of service...newpapers, bottle opener and toothpaste (yes I was out). They were provided in a timely and pleasant manner. My only criticism was the lounge TV was not working and thought that the $ 800.00 to replace it would be money well spent for those who want to catch a game and spend money in their lounge.

Have driven by this hotel many times and never considered staying there until recently when I couldn't find anything else available.
Will definitely stay here for all my business trips near the Red Deer area.
Sheraton has the most comfortable beds of all the places I've stayed.
The location is easy to find and not far from the main highway.
My room looked over a green space which is a real treat to have a pleasant view from my window.
Will most definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the treed area behind the hotel.
