We passed through Red Deer for an interview and were SO SURPRISED by this lovely hotel in a small town. Fresh coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby, soft and warm bed, a beautiful high pressure shower head. The TV in our room was HD and HUGE and overall we had a great stay. The continental breakfast was beautiful, warm and huge. Overall, it was a cold day in Red Deer but we had a warm, comfortable stay.

The 2 Queen room was big, bright, and modern. Comfortable beds separated by a small dresser, with a pair of lights above. Desk (actually a table) near the bed, and a good sized dresser. Flat screen TV. Fast free wired and wireless internet.

Nicely tiled bathroom. Plenty of towels, and quality toiletries. Curved shower rail and Water Pik shower head.

Smallish nearly square pool with warm water ideal for children. Hot whirlpool with gentle jets. Exercise room had several treadmills, an elliptical, and a recumbent bike. Hand weights up to 50 lb with two benches. A tower-style cable weight machine great for upper body but limited for lower body.

Good breakfast with several hot items different each day, whole and cut up fresh fruit, decent breads and pastries. Good coffee and three kinds of quality juice. Name brand cold cereal.

Friendly welcome at the front desk, and helpful staff. Fresh warm cookies. And all of this at a very competitive price. So why not 5 stars?

- For anyone sleeping on the outer side of either bed, there was no bedside table and no bed lamp.
- The swivel desk chair was the only chair in the room and at its highest position it was very low compared with the height of the table that served as a desk. No other table either.
- One of our two mornings, the scrambled eggs had ham cubes and cheese mixed in. Tasty, but there was no hot item (other than the usual make your own waffles) for a vegetarian. And the home fries that day were soggy. Like the desk in the room, the breakfast seating was very low compared with table height.

We stayed at this hotel in January. My husband is working in Ft. Mac and I took the greyhound up to meet him there on his last day of work. Sherri, at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. My luggage had been left in Calgary, so she outfitted me with a toothbrush and toothpaste, so I was able to freshen up a bit. Coffee, tea and fresh fruit is always available. The rooms were very clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. The hotel was quiet and in a great location! The complimentary breakfast was great, with hot items available. The little touches like, fresh cookies and the snack bag to go, really make a difference from other hotels. The price was excellent with all that you get. Would definitely stay there again! Will also be looking at the same chain for other locations when we travel. Linda J.

When we first entered our room, we noticed a very bad odour. We went back to front desk and was given an upgraded room for the same price. The room was nice and smelled fine, but when i went into the bathroom to shower, I noticed used dental floss on the shampoo/soap dish. And when i pulled a towel off the shelf, a couple small pieces of garbage fell with it. House keeping could have been more diligent. It was a nice room, but made me on edge as to how well the other parts of the room was cleaned.

A great place to choose for a night away, after enjoying a concert at the Enmax Centrium in Red Deer. Clean room, great bed, surprisingly quiet location behind Gasoline Alley, excellent express breakfast included in the price. Been open 3 years I believe.

I stay at this hotel on each trip I take to Red Deer and I will continue to do so. The location is great for my needs, the staff are always cheerful and willing to help. The rates are comparable to others in the area. In my last 4 or 5 stays I have only encountered a few minor problems. I will continue to stay here.

I tried to book 1 night for 3 people for a company meeting in Red Deer. I was shocked to find out that I was unable to book rooms for just a one night stay on Tuesday; Wednesday or Thursday. This is the worst thought out business plan ever, thing of how much business you are loosing (20 rooms in just one day that I know for sure)!
