This newer hotel was very quiet and comfortable. There was some mildew in the shower. Seems to be an issue in most of the Marriott’s we stayed at on this trip. Don’t understand it as most cleaners will get rid of mildew even if you don’t scrub it.
The breakfast had more choices than the other Marriott’s on our trip.
One minor annoyance. The desk clerk didn’t want to honor my government rate. This is the 5th hotel on this trip and I do have silver (soon to be gold) status with Marriott. No other property even asked for my ID. She asked if I was on business or leisure and I told her leisure. When I booked it did not specify that it had to be for official travel (some properties do, this one didn’t.). I dug my work badge out of my bag (brought it just in case) and showed her. Turns out my badge was expired even though it still gets me into my government job she wouldn’t accept it. Even showed her my Federal Employee health insurance card but no. She did end up accepting my AAA card, but the AAA rate was a few dollars more. Thought it was kind of poor customer service the way she treated me.More
