We also booked this hotel based on the reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were quoted a rate over the phone from the reservations line for $156 a night for a King room, which we thought was very pricey for Lethbridge, but there didn't seem to be a reasonable alternative near Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park where we were spending the weekend. We tried a couple of B and B's but they were either on vacation or there was no answer. Oh well, we thought.

When we arrived we ended up being charged $114 for -- the management told us they didn't have good concscience charging the $156 a night. A nice surprise! and we appreciated their honesty. The hotel is run by a very pleasant and helpful family and staff. There are homey touches everywhere; the lobby was cheerfully decorated for summer. Our room was extremely spacious, with nice, contemporary furnishings and clean -- there was a few crevices here and there that could have used a vacuum, but no big deal. I'm sure they would have come up right away if we had asked them.

The bed was a little on the hard side, and I like a firm bed -- however the staff put another mattress cover on request on the bed and we slept like babies. Also, the air conditioning was excellent; considering it was 34C that weekend! Shower pressure was excellent and the bathroom was very spacious and clean as well. The hotel is well cared for and I believe will be 2 years old in October this year. The only negatives I found were that the wireless didn't work that great; we were on the 4th floor and I found the signal weak and spotty at times. Also, the rooms were quiet, but if someone was noisy in the hallway, you could hear it quite loudly.

Breakfast had a very good variety of items. It was nothing fancy: Eggo waffles, fresh commercial breads, no name jams and peanut butter, etc, and it included hard boiled eggs and generous slices of cheese -- but enough so that we could skip lunch or have a very late lunch. In the evening they also have a variety of pastries and cakes out from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you're looking for decent meals close to the hotel, the non-smoking casino across the road has very good, basic food in their grill, plus the hotel can give you a coupon for 10% off; but you must ask, it isn't offered.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel and would stay again in a heartbeat if in the Lethbridge area again. The location is fairly isolated, but we got everwhere quite quickly; good access to Highway 4 and Mayor Magrath just a few minutes down 43rd Street. To us it offers the friendliness of a B and B, but gives you the privacy of a hotel. We were a bit skeptical of the reviews here, but now having stayed at the hotel, we totally agree with them. Lovely place.

Stayed for 3 nights in early August. I chose this hotel based on the glowing reviews it has received below, although I must admit to being a bit skeptical if it was really going to be any different from other hotels. Pleased to say that the glowing reviews are well-deserved. In terms of amenities, I would say this hotel is on par with something like Best Western or Days Inn, and the price is similar. But the staff and little extras make this hotel stand above its competition. Little things like free laundry soap, free juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies and fruit (apples) available all day. Evening snacks (cakes and muffins) were set out in the lobby each evening at 7 p.m. We reserved for 4 nights but checked out a day early because the weather had turned completely crappy -- the staff were very pleasant and accommodating and said, "No problem at all, we'll change your reservation for you." All of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Location wise, the hotel is on the extreme eastern edge of Lethbridge. Development is happening, but right now it kind of seems like it's in the middle of nowhere. That isn't any problem though, as the restaurant strip of Mayor McGrath Drive is just a short drive away (too far to walk to though). Waterslide was nice but kind of hogged the shallow pool when being used. Hot tub and exercise room were small, but fine. Rooms were comfortable and clean and came with a fridge and microwave. Beds were comfortable. Soundproofing was good for both noise from inside and outside. Continental breakfast was popular and had many choices, but no hot items (except toast and pre-made waffles). Intenet computer (one) was available for use in a small room beside the front desk. Casino a few minutes walk away.

Would I book this hotel if in Lethbridge again? Abosolutely!

My experience was FABULOUS! The staff were always friendly, very accomdating, they were kind and genuine.

Our room was very clean, and very comfortable. The pool was great, the hours were great for the pool and excerise room. The continental breakfast was great, lots to choose from.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel, I would definetly stay there again!!

I've stayed in many hotels while travelling and this was GREAT!

Stayed one night after the Air Show and was very happy with my choice. Ladies on the desk are friendly and helpful. Used pool/hot tube/water slide. All were clean and in good shape. They put out a few snacks at night, and a few things for breakfast. Beds comfy. Good parking. Gas station/store next door, and Tim Hortons next to that. Price was fair, and bill had no surprises. Would look no further and would stay here again next time. Oh and Casino is less than 5 min walk away.

A spotlessly clean location, just off highway. Area is still under development. Continential Breakfast included in a very good room rate. I found the beds a bit hard, but that's a fairly minor issue. Room included microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker.
Friendly staff.
