Stayed here over Christmas time while spending time with relatives who live in Lethbridge so really only somewhere to sleep. Rooms were clean which to me is the most important. Very dated and bare bones. Horrible flat pillows though (second most important thing). Restaurant is pretty "Dennyish" with young servers who while very polite are quite junior in their roles. Front desk very friendly. Good a good price, definitely got what we paid for.

Room Tip: over the atrium

I stayed at the Lodge while in town for a job interview. The service was excellent from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping. The room was clean and well appointed and most importantly pet friendly! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

On checking in, I routinely presented my credit card and requested that it be used only for security purposes. I further stated that I wished to pay my bill with my debit card. The young lady agreed and appeared to make note of the request. Upon checking out I was informed the account had been cleared by credit card. This was reversed and the bill cleared on my debit card. All was fine untill a male supervisor intervened with the remark "what difference does it make?" An attitude adjustment is required.

Thanks for a great stay. Yes, the rooms are a little outdated, but they are clean.Make sure that your room is connected to the atrium. After a long cold winter it was amazing!! Staff was friendly and very helpful. After a long day of meetings, it was great to sit in the atrium. Drinks and food were good and reasonably priced. Easy to connect to the internet.
Thanks for a great stay.

Went for a night because of the incredible atrium. If you can stay over with children on a week day you will find it quiet and relaxing. Our girls played for hours in the pool and we enjoyed a break reading amongst the trees with the sound of the waterfall cascading in the distance.

We had a room on the first floor, which is in need of upgrades. The carpet is dirty and stained, room is simply played out. Front desk was less than helpful, I mentioned a special internet price and was basically told to find an internet source and book online.
The restaurant is a rip off to say the least. They have a weekend breakfast buffet that includes bacon, and eggs with chunks of potatoe as hashbrowns, no toast and some dried out pastry, reminder that buffet does not include coffee or juice, total for 4 adults and 2 kids $77. Mentioned to the cashier that price was outrageous and was basically told, "that's to bad". Not impressed have stayed in the past but will definately not return.

Lethbridge Lodge was a great hotel in it's day. A group of us stayed there years ago (80's) and it was lovely. I planned to book in for one night on a business stay, thinking it could not be as bad as some of the reviews on Trip Advisor had indicated. Wrong!!!

The hallway carpet to the suites needed cleaning and there was a large stain (bleach?) -not a welcoming sight before you reach your room.

The room was outdated and the couch and chair were very old with upholstery that looked like it had not been cleaned for many years. The drapes were filthy from people's hands drawning them back and forth as they entered and left the suite. The bed was clean and comfortable.

The Anton's restaurant: breakfast was good and staff excellent.
The Cotton Blossom: lounge next to the atrium -- still a pleasant place to have a drink and a bite to eat. Although, I was disappointed when I returned from a meeting late and planned to have something light for a late supper, only to find that the lounge had closed half an hour earlier than the posted time in the guest book. The snack bar was closed and their vending machines had only beverages. Tough out of luck.

Since 2005, people have commented about Lethbridge Lodge needing to be upgraded. With the number of newer and renovated hotels in Lethbridge, it is going to be difficult to remain competitive if something is not done. It is not too late. With renovations, you could still have a great hotel with a comfortable "at home" ambiance -- with the atrium being a wonderful feature. In the meantime I can not recommend this hotel.
