Raven House B&B
Ranked #10 of 57 Jasper B&B and Inns

We stayed at Raven B&B for two nights at the end of a two-week tour around Vancouver and the Rockies and it was absolutely amazing. The owners are a really friendly Welsh couple who've been in Jasper for years and are great for advice on what to see, do, and eat. The rooms are up a separate staircase from the rest of the house, and ours was really big, light and airy. The bed was huge and amazingly comfortable, and the bathroom was good too. One of the nicest things is that Mair brings breakfast (cereals, juice, pastries/muffins) up on a tray and leaves it outside the room so you can eat at your leisure in front of the picture window with a view of the mountains. There was also a kettle and tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room.

The B&B is a little way outside town but Jasper is so small that it was only about 10-15 minutes walk into the heart of restaurants and things. The town felt very safe and we had no qualms at all walking back at night. There are lots of restaurants and bars -we had an amazing meal at Earl's, which Mair had recommended. There is also a supermarket at the top of town, and several internet places.

We had an amazing stay and I'd recommend Raven to anyone seeking rest and romance.

You probably would not select this B&B if you were walking down the street looking for a vacancy. It is surrounded by a high hedge and a neglected yard. The front porch has a pot containing a dead bush. However, the rooms are large and nicely furnished. Each of the two rooms has a sitting area with small table for breakfast. The bathrooms are clean, and the fixtures are good repair. The only common area is at the head of the stairs. There is a bench, small refrigerator, and a place to put out breakfast in the morning. Breakfast consists of a choice of cereal (with milk), a muffin or pastry, boxed juice, yogurt, and mixed fresh fruit in juice. Mair gave us helpful advice for touring the area, restaurants, etc. The location is close to downtown Jasper.

Everything about the Raven House was perfect: a large room with sitting area, very comfy bed, and a good continental breakfast left in the hall for us to pick up when we were ready. In addition, Myra was so helpful making recommendations for places to eat, hike, etc. It's an easy walk to the main shopping area and very quiet. A highlight of the stay was to wake up our last morning, look out the window facing the mountains, and happen to see two very large elk just lazing in the back yard. Awesome.

We had a lovely time visiting Jasper and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Cavell room! Our hosts Tony and Mair were very helpful and friendly and gave us great tips on where to eat in town and where to hike close to town (a few minutes walk from the B&B!).

The room was very relaxing with its own sitting room and after a day of hiking the soaker tub was a real treat. The breakfast was very nice and was a great way for us to start our days in Jasper.

We highly recommend this B&B to anybody planning to visit Jasper.

Loved everything about this B&B. Mair was wonderful and gave some great advice about the town, hiking, etc. The breakfast was simple and delicious, all we needed. Rooms are perfectly clean, quiet, comfortable. Jasper is a quaint little town and this was an easy walk to the main streets. Would recommend this for anyone and would happily go back myself!
