“Great Stay, Great Breaksfast!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2006

We stayed for 1 night at the Glass House in Jasper in September.

We managed to book the loft at short notice after our accommodation at another B&B fell through at the last minute. After staying at the Glass House we can now say that we are glad that this earlier accomodation fell through as the Glass House was very welcoming.

The loft was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. We had everything we needed (clean towels, soaps etc) plus extras like a spa bath and lounge area. The bed was also extremely comfortable.

While the loft was fantastic the highlight of this B&B is the breakfast and the hospitality. Tobie (the owner) made us a delicious breakfast of fruit salad, muffins, yoghurt, homemade breads, juice and coffee. Tobie also prepared a 'doggy bag' for us to take with us all the food that we couldn't eat - which was much appreciated as we were driving on to Edmonton that day.

The Glass House was one of the most memorable stays in our 3 week trip of Canada and we would definitely stay there if ever in Jasper again.

Stayed here sept o6 with my husband and little boy.
Stayed in the loft room, which consisted of a large double bed and also a hot tub, shower and toilet As well as that there was a separte sitting room and it was really quite spacious.
Breakfast consisted of fruit cup and yoghurt and then baked goods, home baked bread and muffins, criossants etc.
There is ALWAYS too much stuff and the hostess provided us with a bag to take it out with us.
Only a couple of minutes away from town on foot.
I would definitely recommend this place

  • Liked — the toiletries and breakfast
  • Disliked — the many stairs
  • Tips/Secrets — avoid if you have a problem with gay people. which I don't

The Glass House is a unique property and is something you would not come across while staying in your everyday guest house. We stayed in the room with a "port hole" in the front window - it's just different and for that reason fun. The bed was extremely comfortable and we awoke refreshed each morning.
The breakfasts were wonderful - a fresh fruit salad, followed by toast and all manner of baked goods. I think someone has already mentioned that as there is so much at breakfast time, you are issued with paper bags to pack as much of what you don't eat away as you would like to take for lunchtime.
We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Glass House.

We spent three nights at the Glass House and it was excellent. The Fentons gave us a great welcome and lots of tips for places to visit. We stayed in the garden room, which was very comfortable and we also had a beautifully furnished sitting room with lots of local guide books. Breakfast was the highlight - especially if you like home baked muffins! The Glass House is in a quiet spot just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Jasper. We would happily recommend this B&B.

We had not used B&B accommodation before in our travels and decided to take a friend's advice and give it a go. How glad we are that we did. Our two nights at The Glass House were fantastic in every way. Our wonderful hostess was welcoming and gave great advice on what to see in the area. She cooked the most inviting home baked breakfasts and packed anything we could not finish, for us to take with us for the day. We did not need to buy food until dinner. The room was more than adequate...very large with it's own sitting room. Very comfortable. We could not have wished for more and would highly recommend this B&B.

We stayed here for 2 nights following personal recommendation. The house had a range of windows including a large port-hole in our bedroom. The host, Tamara, was excellent and very attentive. Her baking for breakfast could be smelt before reaching the table and if you didn't finish or preferred an early start, she bagged up the muffins, croissants etc for you.
Prices were $CAN 90 high season which was reasonable including breakfast.

A great place to stay!
