Family of 4 (6 & 12yr old) stayed here 3 nights at the end of June 2018, We loved the location, stunning views of Pyramid lake & surrounding mountains. It is located above & behind the town only 5minutes up the road - I loathe to say what a find it was as I don't want others to come here.

Price was great for Jasper - paid almost the same 3yrs ago for a 2 star on the outskirts of town. We couldn't ask for more. I understand there is no air conditioning - it was coolish when we were here, our room had a lovely fire place that we didn't use as the room was the perfect temperature for us... so I cant comment on how we would have felt had the temperature been warmer.

You can kayak & canoe of the lake for reasonable price - we didn't due to the weather. However, at a time when the skies were perfectly clear & we thought we'd give it a shot, the lovely person hiring out the boats suggested we didn't as they didn't think our kids would be able to handle the wind - which I was so grateful for - they could have taken our money & just let us flounder.

The only down side was parking - the accommodation is behind & above the dining/reception area building. There was not enough parking in front of each chalet block so you had to park on the side of the road & for us at the very last chalet complex you had to be very aware of the large drop in the middle of the car park. It was fine & not much further from your accommodation (20 steps at best) but it did make it that bit more tricky - even more so when you were checking in & out.

The staff overall were nice.

We really enjoyed our time here & only note the parking so others are aware of it - at first we were thinking where do we park - then noted others had parked against the wall.

We saw elk and deer on most drives up and down the road. The morning before we left a Grizzly had been seen just behind the whole establishment. For us that was a plus as we had hopes of seeing one. They are doing construction on the road right in front of the place - but i'm not sure how you could be upset about that - they only have a very narrow window of time during the year to undertake any type of construction - it barely hindered getting in & out and it was undertaken at what for us (who often like to sleep in a little) at reasonable hours.

Jasper NP itself is amazing - spend as much time as you possible can here if you like wilderness & seeing animals (grizzlies, black bears, Moose, elk, caribou, coyotes - we saw them all - everyone of them up close) & take in as much as you can. Its our second time around & we still barely feel like we've scratched the surface. Love it.

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting the Jasper area. Accommodation is nice. Quite sizeable. Restaurant is okay, we had one evening meal and one breakfast but went into Jasper for the rest of our meals as we found the choice at the resort a little limited. Beautiful views from the restaurant and lodges. The lodges were a little noisy with not very good soundproofing!

My husband and I visited here for one night to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great time, the room was newly renovated with a view of the lake and mountains, hot tub was enjoyable early morning and the restaurant served good food. Thank you for a memorable stay and a little gift upon arrival. All the staff were super friendly especially the girls on the booking line.

Room tip: Cavell Queen room was awesome.

Stayed here once before it was what you expect on a Jasper trip. Now there is construction going on just outside the property and whilst they are doing work on pyramid lake road the 18 wheelers are using the end of this road to turn around so every 5-10 minutes you hear the trucks ,many times with the Jacob brakes go by. Internet is spotty to mostly nonexistent but that is the least of worries

There is no doubt that the location of this hotel is amazing. It looks out onto pyramid lake with the distant mountains reflected in the water. Near to Jasper but far enough away to escape the busy touristy town.
Our room had a partial view of the lake with a small balcony. The balcony wasn’t very private as other balconies were separated from ours by semi transparent glass. The room was unbearably hot with no way of cooling it down. Very slow Wi-fi. We had very little sleep the first night as the guests next door had access to a loft area above our room and it sounded as though they were moving furniture around for hours.
Evening meal in the restaurant was a good experience but would agree with other reviews that the breakfast was a little disappointing. We opted for the continental but there wasn’t much choice. We thought juice was included only to find out it’s $5 per glass. If you want a Peaceful, small resort in great location then this is for you but do investigate room choices thoroughly.

Room tip: The newer rooms are probably better although don’t have lake views
