This was a great hike into the canyon. Our guide knew a lot about the area and was very friendly and easy to talk with. There had been some warmer temperatures before we went and though it made for a nicer walking day, we couldn't get deep into the canyon because of the melted ice. It was still worth the price to do the trip. You don't need to be in great physical shape to do the walk. I would recommend going earlier in the year to be guaranteed a trip fully into the canyon (as much as you can be guaranteed with the weather). They provided the boots and ice grippers as well which is handy. There is also a bathroom at the entrance of the park and you can leave some things in the van while you walk.
