“A true winter wonderland”

The Maligne Canyon Icewalk with Maligne Adventures is such an amazing experience. The canyon itself is completely different from summer to winter, but the beauty of it remains. The frozen waterfalls are definitely a sight to be seen, and to experience them at ground level is something else entirely. Trevor was an amazing guide. He is really knowledgeable and aware of hazards, putting nerves at ease. These guys definitely have safety first on the list. There are many ice caves that you can climb in behind. It's a phenomenal place for photography. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who finds themselves in Jasper during the winter season.

Glad you had a great time on the Icewalk. It's fantastic to see that people living in Jasper are getting out to see this spectacular place. Hope to see you rafting this summer!

“A unique experience”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Walking up a narrow canyon that I have looked into it's raging torrent one summer 30 years ago.
That's a unique experience but also the frozen waterfalls and walking on an ice shelf with no water under it was pretty unusual too. Our guide Sarah was friendly, relaxed & knowledgable - the walk was easy with plenty of photo stops and variations - we were able to squeeze in behind a frozen waterfall in 2 places and get up close & personal with the ice formations

“Go when it's cold!”

A great experience! Our guide, john, was fabulous - very knowledgable and experienced! Temp was hovering around -2C, so the ice was a little sparse! Would definitely go again, preferably when it's a little colder!

We had a fantastic time on our maligne canyon ice walk. There was lots to see and lots to learn. Our guide John was like a walking encyclopedia about jasper. He knew everything there was to know about the canyon! From scientific theories of why the earth is shaped the way it is, to the animals that live there and how their survival technics. We would definitely go again!
