Stayed here for three days (two nights) and had an incredible stay. Stayed in the Aspen Suite right by the lake and the privacy was just what I was looking for. Even though the lake was still ice covered and the nights were cool, this did not ruin the stay in the slightest. Looked on tripadvisor for ideas on where to stay in Jasper because the Jasper Park Lodge just isn't doing anything for me anymore (over priced and getting a bit run down). So the Patricia Lake Bungalows was very highly rated (#1 in fact), so thought what the heck. The cabin my wife and I got was one of the newer larger cabins and I must say it was more than we expected. The large windows and comfy chairs let us snuggle up and just watch the wildlife go by without getting too cold sitting outside. The kitchen was excellent, the gas stove was awesome, even though we only used it to boil water for hot chocolate, the fridge was full size and it even had a dishwasher! The bathroom was incredible full shower and beautifully decorated.
So all in all we were extremely happy just how right the other reviewers were in rating this "hotel". I am learning more and more to trust tripadvisor's members in their judgements and opinions.

Room Tip: Stay at the Grove Suites for luxury.

We stayed at Patricia Lake Bungalows (PLB) for 5 splendid nights which was part of our Honeymoon and right up our street in terms of location.

Our Self Catering Cabin was perfect, cozy, very clean and quiet, plus it had a fabulous view of Patricia Lake.

PLBs are tucked away from Jasper Town Centre but are only a short drive away making them a very desirable place to holiday.

The on site facilities are very good and the friendly welcoming service we received from the staff made our stay extra special.

Our only gripe was that we did not book for longer, so will have to make sure we go back soon!

We stayed at Patricia Lake Bungalows in July 2010. We originally booked for a week, but due to some last minute emergencies at home, our departure was delayed by 48 hours, so we only had 5 nights there. We contacted them by email as soon as we could, which was only three days in advance, and they only charged us for the nights we were there.

We had a bungalow that overlooked the lake. One bedroom, pretty compact, but comfortable. The bed was nice and firm, plenty of pillows, good bedding, and clean sheets. The rooms were serviced each day, with clean towels etc. The kitchen area was compact but adequate (gas cook top, microwave, large fridge) and although bench space was compact it was adequate. (and anyway, my husband was in charge of cooking, so what did I care!!). There were enough saucepans, cutlery, crockery etc, but they could have done with a wooden spoon for stirring the pasta sauce!

The living area had some comfortable arm chairs, and an automatic gas heater that came on by thermostat control (which gave me a bit of a start at about 2 am one morning!)

Mobile (cell phone) coverage was ok in places (outside was better than inside). There were two computers with internet access provided (in a windowless room next to the laundry) for a fee. Nice to be able to send messages home, and check maps etc. Access to a printer would have been handy - my hand-drawn maps copied from Google left a bit to be desired!)

Staff were helpful and friendly, and the location was great. Quite a few walking tracks can be accessed directly from the resort, and it is a quick trip by car into Jasper. We thought about going into Jasper for dinner, but ended up staying in and cooking.

Lovely spot - because our holiday was a little shorter than we would have liked, we are planning to go back to Jasper again in another year or two, and will definitely try to stay at Patricia Lake again.

We stayed there in september which was in the low season value. 165$ for a 2 bedroom bungalow. we had a fireplace, fride, stove...all you need! PLB is like a big campgroud. There's a beautiful lake where you can canoe, which we did. We relaxed on the dock every evening watching the sun set. There a place where you can make a fire and chat with the other travelers staying there. There's internet, a outdoor hottub, which was really hot but enjoyed it still. They had board games, badminton and more if ever you got bored. Not far from the town of Jasper. Lots of elks near the bungalows. We will definitly return!!

The bungalows were built in the 1950's in a very charming rustic style but have clearly been updated since then - they are basic but comfortable. The location is about a 5 minute drive from Jasper and very quiet and tranquil. We had a one-bedroom unit which had a small kitchen in one corner of the main room and a small bathroom with shower. We were initially concerned because it had turned unseasonally cold in Jasper and the only heating was a gas fireplace. However, this was on a thermostat and provided we kept all the interior doors open it successfully heated the whole cabin. Overnight we just turned the thermostat down and it just fired occasionally to stop the temperature falling too far.

We stayed at Patricia Lake Bungalows for four nights in October. The first night was in a Cavell suite at the very front of the complex which was not the best position, so we upgraded to a self-contained Aspen Suite on the lake. This turned out to be the best decision we made as the suite was superb. Very new and clean, with dual vanity basins in the en suite, very comfortable bed, a plasma TV on the wall, vaulted ceilings in the lounge room with a gas fireplace to keep us warm. We even used the stove in the full kitchen to cook our thanksgiving day dinner.
The view out of our window was of Patricia Lake and the mountains beyond. AWESOME!
Every night was an absolutely peaceful rest, with not a noise to be heard. The location 5 minutes drive from Jasper at the end of the road is ideal for a secluded getaway. We saw a black bear and her two cubs, mule deer and elk just on the drive to and from town!
The nightly visit by the friendly staff to ask if we needed anything was a nice touch.
This isn't the place to stay connected with technology as the free internet was slow, and sometimes crashed when we were checking emails. Apart from that, I would stay here again, and would definitely recommend the newer suites by the lake if your budget allows.
