Had a great time introducing the kids (5 and 8) to mountain skiing. Enjoyed a great day at Marmot! There could have been more snow but it was still a great experience. Enjoyed the new Rocky Mountain Express lift so you can go right from the bottom to the top!

Well, I visted this mountain a year ago, back when it was February 2011, and I have to say this mountain is great for snowboarding! If you go up to the top of the mountain, you can find the "Knob chair". That takes you straight to the top of the mountain. You can also stay closer to the bottom chalet, and use the green runs, in the middle of the mountain you can find a mixture of blue and green runs. Those would be the best for the whole family, because you get a fair bit of skiing or boarding, and they are in the medium difficulty. I am returning to this mountain this year in March, and I'm hoping to get some runs in before the season is over.

Happy shredding homies and homettes!

Went to Marmot for 3 day ski wknd. This is our second time at the hill & it is yet to disappoint us. It is a great family hill. The cafeteria & restaurant food is quite good. This hill has great vertical & if you're lucky enough to get powder it is one of the better hills in Alberta.

Recommend you plan a trip during the week to avoid queues and traffic on the hill. Great long, wide runs with varying degrees of difficulty! Best mountain we've been to yet...YET

Everyone should ski Marmot Basin. Awesome mountain, wonderful ski instructors, good food, excellent rentals - uncrowded slopes - What is not to like?
