“Going to be a great season!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Was there today with my young children (4 & 7) and we had a GREAT experience. The ski rental crew were all patient and very helpful, and the ski instructor was AMAZING!! Stephan took my kids for a two hour lesson and was nothing short of amazing with them. I was very pleased that their very first experience skiing was such a positive one, thank you!!! We will be back.

“Bad”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Lift broke down, waited hours, wouldn't refund ticket, just go to another hill. There are many better hills in Banff or Golden, why waste time here?

MarmotBasin, Guest Relations Manager at Marmot Basin Ski Area, responded to this review, November 23, 2012
Refunds were offered to all those who skied on the Saturday in question so that the payment for used lift tickets amounted to only $25 dollars. All further enquires that were dealt with by our ticket office teams for unused tickets were offered satisfactory alternatives. Although the lower mountain Eagle Express lift went down for a few hours, our maintenance team and other staff worked to enable the Canadian Rockies Express to open enabling access to the upper mountain one week ahead of schedule, enabling skiing over a wider terrain.

This is a nice ski hill and the people there are friendly. We never run into any problems when we go. Well kept runs.

“Great skiing in late April but expensive for a weekend.”
Reviewed May 28, 2012 via mobile

We had a great weekend skiing here. Trails are well maintained and numerous. Signage could be improved. Quiet mountains so little queuing at lifts. Snack bars in mountain pretty good although queues at peak periods. Pricey for weekend pass but season pass cheap if you buy before end of June - family pass for season approx 1650 CAD .

“One of the best!”
Reviewed May 20, 2012 via mobile

Ski Hills are usually described as being good at one thing or the other. Marmot is very good at everything. It is an awesome hill to take the family - tons of green runs, easy to hard blues, and THE best tree runs anywhere. The knob chair is always waiting for those wanting the black or double black bump or bowl runs. The Sun makes it's way around the bowl throughout the day which means there is always a soft run during the day. Also, you will not wait in line more than 2 minutes - ever! The high speed chairs are better than any other hill. I've gone there for over 30 years, taken my kids there, and now take my teens there. If I take them to another hill, they always compare it to Marmot and want to go back.
