At the top of the tram, amateur and professional astronomers and photographers show you the night sky in ways you may never have seen before. The view from the top is amazing in itself, but add telescopic power to the stars at night and you are in for a treat. We saw the milky way clearly overhead. Truly a memorial event. Dress warm. It is windy up there - we went in October and it was cool, but well worth the time.

Something different to do after a long drive. The cable car ride is good and the lookout and views are excellent. You can trek further from the top and then get a hot chocolate at the restaurant.

We picked up a Jasper SkyTram brochure from our hotel in Lake Louise and the brochure indicated that people who booked online for tram rides between 5 and 6pm would receive a free hamburger at the restaurant at the top of the mountain. This promotion was stated to be valid through October 28 but only if booked in advance online. So, I went to the Jasper Skytram website, found the same promo and hit the "book now" button. Reservations were made and a confirmation email was received. We arrived on time for our reservations but the kitchen was closed, so no free burgers as advertised and reserved. As a consolation prize, we were given a souvenir key chain. On a happier note, the view from the top of Whistler's mountain was amazing! Take ice spike clamp ons for your boots if you go during snowy weather as the trails are steep and near impossible to scale if icy.

Went up late in the afternoon, so didn't have enough time to do the additional climb to the top. This ride gives a great view of the surrounding area and a perspective of where everything is. The colours, snow on the mountains, and twilight lighting all made this a very worthwhile trip! We didn't have a line in front of us

We lucked out choosing a sunny, warm, blue sky day to do the tram trip. Being late October and about 11am, it was not crowded and we were able to wander without dodging a lot of people. The views were incredible! Great perspective on the Jasper townsite and adjacent lakes. The trail to the summit was a bit icy, so we didn't make it all the way up, but don't feel like we missed out.

The ride up and down was nice, with an informative guide. Once at the top, you can hike further up, but not much else to do. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it sure looked lovely.

Well worth the trip, stunning vistas and a feeling of being on top of the world. Our flight guide was really knowledgeable and provided a lot of information on the ecological problems the area is currently facing.

We went up in late September. Lots of snow and great views but I would advise taking food with you as it's very expensive up top and the tickets are very overpriced.

Two of us took the Jasper Sky Tram in October of 2018 and it was the highlight of our visit to the park. If you plan on taking the tram to the top and just observing the view from there, it may not be worth it (the views there are good but not amazing).

The real magic is at the Whistler's Summit ( 1.3 km hike from where the tram drops you off). Up there you can see the backbone of the Rockies, experience the most surreal 360 degree views and essentially feel like you're touching the sky. I'd definitely recommend bringing a good pair of hiking shoes and poles, if you have them, as the way up gets very slippery and steep at times. Trust me, you'll want to put in the effort!
