Yes, this hotel is in a great location. It's right in the middle of town and you can walk to everything.

The positives stop there. There is no elevator so had to drag our suitcases up the stairs. The room was TINY. It had two single beds and not much else. The TV was wall mounted in the corner because there isn't anywhere else to put it. The bathroom was very small and the shower pressure was painfully low. You also had to step up into the bathroom - and in the middle of the night it's very easy to stub your toes. Our toilet was also loose and felt like it was going to fall over! It was actually pretty hot when we were in Jasper and the room had no AC. The ceiling fan didn't do much to cool the room either. Therefore we had the windows open but the noise was horrendous. Drunk people yahooing on the street at 3am - this was one of the worst places for sleep quality.

The room also had to coffee maker/kettle. We asked for a kettle and they brought us one and some mugs but we couldn't use it as the coils in the bottom had flaky white stuff coming off them and therefore made the water dirty.. There is a great laundromat literally next door. It's pricey at $4 per wash and $4 per dry but there are lots of machines and it was fast. The best part about this hotel was leaving it.

As the other reviews state, great location, great old hotel, great price for Jasper....... but..... it has been really hot this summer .......NO AIR CONDITIONING...... may be ok in the fall and winter but not in July

If you ask to be away from the club or bar, they put you in the middle of the hotel.... over the front door..... where all the smokers come out all night long to smoke and visit.... and you have to keep your window open, because it is 30c in your room!

The rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable, but again, NO COFFEE..... no fridge, and the lobby smells like stale beer

Another good stay Canada Day long weekend, in room 108 with shared bath this time. Met our needs - clean room, comfy bed and pillows, large sink. No view. Mens shared bath facilities were clean and spacious. The mens shared bath (separate toilet, urinal, shower areas) could benefit by having an electric hand dryer and soap dispenser. Otherwise another great stay at the AthaB. A great central base in town of Jasper and ease to get to hiking trails that start in the vicinity of the town.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from nightclub

This place is right on the main part of the city center with convienent parking around the back. Beds are very comfortable and the room is very clean with a nice bathroom. Price is a little higher than I usually pay at $150 but then everything is higher in Canada.

Room was reasonable size clean and with 2 queen beds, nice view of green and train station and mountains, really good location. good value for money on down side no tea/coffee making facs in room and no complimentary tea or coffee anywhere in hotel. No lift which isn't a problem with only 2 floors but at that altitude did seem to huff and puff up stairs a bit. No pool or hotel tub. Over all great value for money.
