“THE MOST COSY CABINS IN JASPER!”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We have such great memories of Jasper and part of that was staying in a sleeping cabin at Alpine Village! Clean and well groomed property! Professional staff! Nice entrance and cabin where you check in and can gather information about the area...some small grocery needs on site but larger grocery store in town...Just a five minute drive into the main area of Jasper! Cabin was all we needed with two double beds and well stocked with nice bathroom/shower, mini fridge and coffee maker. Loved to sit on the porch in mornings with coffee. Best of all enjoyed the adirondack chairs provided at the river edge. Enjoyed evenings there with some bug spray of course...took a glass of wine and relaxed! The most wonderful outdoor hot tub onsite with views of the mountains as you soak...found that to be most relaxing after a day of hiking...Used it every night before dinner to unwind. Many chances of seeing wildlife around the area...had elks on property, moose and bears in immediate area so never walk alone or without making noise...We dream of going back!

Room Tip: We were a family of three with our 12 year old son...Sleeping cabin was more than adequate for our n...

We just enjoyed a romantic and quiet weekend at these very quaint and lovely cabins that are nestled close to Jasper. What we loved the most was how quiet it was! And although it was a long weekend, we felt like we had got away from it all. The cabins are very clean and have beautiful fire places, privacy off the decks and king sized beds that are quite comfortable. I would recommend staying here!

Room Tip: Pick a cabin that is newer and built in the last few years!

We chose the newly renovated (2009) "Deluxe Bedroom Suite". This was the best choice and our room was so cozy with a great view. It was really silent (Cabin M) and the room inkl. the luxury bathroom was absolutely clean.

You can even chop wood on your own for the fireplace. The staff is very friendly and helpful anytime. You can also enjoy sitting at the athabasca river or the hot tub.
The village is only 5min away from Jasper "downtown".

We stayed the older style cabins which are fully functional and cosy providing a good base to see the wonders around Jasper.

Just off Icefield Parkway and next to the fast flowing Athabasca River (where one lunchtime we saw a Mother and 2 Cub Grizzly Bears swimming).

Main room is open plan with sofa, 2 comfy chairs, TV, kitchenette with breakfast bar and fireplace. Double room downstairs with a small double bed, upstairs gallery had queen bed and small single.

Outside we had a small table and chairs for alfresco style dinning - Mosquito, Rain and Bears permitting.

Room Tip: Swimming Pool is a Hot-tub. No Restaurant.

Four of us - two couples - stayed in Cabin #10 for three days on a tour of the Canadian Rockies. Alpine Village was one of the best designed, most comfortable places we stayed. One surprising feature: heated tile floor in the spacious bathroom. One slight disadvantage - and we noted this in other places we stayed in Canada - was that the second bath was a half bath. The shower was in the main bathroom on the first floor. I inquired whether there were any cabins with two full baths. There were none. So we got used to coordinating showers. Cabin 10 had a real fireplace and we were offered the opportunity to chop our own firewood or buy a packet for $5. We liked the European style stove and large refrigerator. Alpine Villege is on Highway 93A and is directly across the road from the Athabasca River. There are lawn chairs along the river and the river provides a great place to walk. On the morning we left there was a large bull elk grazing on the front lawn. You can't miss with these accomodations. There is no restaurant at Alpine Village, but you are five minutes from town. We had breakfast and dinner at The Bright Spot, a Greek restaurant at the junction of 93A and Connaught in Jasper. Excellent food at a reasonable price.

Great choice for staying in Jasper. New cabin has great bathroom with nice shower space, but did have trouble figuring out how to use the second shower head. I feel like operating a shower shouldn't require a manual. Otherwise, highly recommended if you have the money.

The Alpine Village resort provides very new and clean log cabins with natural fireplaces that make for very cozy stay. the resort is right on the banks of a fast running River, and great seats are provided to watch the sunset as the water rushes by. There is a great deal of wildlife including herds of elk right on the property. The resort is Wild country, although only a few miles from Jasper. They have cabins of all sizes, for everything from a couple to a large family.
