My friend and I stayed here for 1 night a few weeks ago before travelling on to Clearwater and although it's not luxurious it's got everything you need.

The location is fine as it's on the main street although it's about a 10 minute walk to the main area of shops and restaurants.

Don't let the 'motel' feel of the place put you off as the rooms were clean and adequate and the air conditioning came in very handy as it was a particularly hot evening !

There's free internet use in the lobby which was handy and the pool was fine if a little small.

If you're looking for a lively evening with good rock music and a great atmosphere then I'd recommend the Jasper Brewing Company - we indulged in several cocktails in there !

Don't be put off by the 'Crossroads' look of the place. It does look like a motel, but despite this the room we had was clean, large, comfortable and came with free internet.

Laundry facility was useful. Pool and hot tub looked okay, but we didn't use them.

Staff were a bit morose, unlike everywhere else we had stayed up until that tme.

The hotel is on the edge of town, but it's only a 10 minute walk into town where there are plenty of reasonably priced eateries.

The on site restaurant looked nice, but we decided to wander into town. Great Souvlaki at 'The Other Place'.

Keep an eye out for the deer/elk that wander around town!

We stayed between the Winter and Summer season and there wasn't too much in the way of activities. Nevertheless, hire bikes, go walking and fishing like we did. Great fun!

We stayed in the winter, and because of that the room was a good price. I wouldnt stay in the summer ever for what you pay and get. Rooms were clean, staff was good, pool was great, location of ice machines sucked.

We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Marmot Lodge in Jasper. For $150/night, I expect a much nicer place to stay. Room small, small TV which didn't have remote control until we asked. Front desk staff unfriendly. We found the bed hard, unlike another reviewer. Room was clean and met our basic needs but wouldn't want to stay for very long. Prices in Jasper are way overpriced!

We (my wife and I stayed here for one night during our drive through BC. For the high price, the place is ordinary. Check in is rather late at 4pm, whereas most other hotels allow check in after 2pm. Housecleaning knocked on our door at a little after 8am. We asked them to come back after an hour. I mentioned this to reception. The receptionist apologised, but one of her colleagues who was listening in offered an explanation. We should have had a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door - so the 'default' is an early awakening! When I mentioned that the late check in should allow plenty of time for cleaning, the response was 'We have 170 rooms to clean'. I came back with 'You need more staff'. In sum, generally unfriendly, but then Jasper has limited accommodation I understand.

When our tour group pulled in here for 2 nights i was expecting more of a hotel than a motel. Boy was i in for a shock! My room was on the 2nd floor and the first thing i noticed is it only had Key Access. This already unnerved me as i much prefer places with the keycard computerised access.

The room was dingy and very worn! I almost half expected a serial killer to jump out of the closet. They did have good shampoo's, lotions etc! I will give them that! However the bathroom was very rusty, i almost felt like getting a tetanus shot! Once the sun goes down it becomes very dark with very little streetlight, One night i heard a noise only to walk out and discover a moose grazing on the grass in the carpark below me so it is a good place to observe nature.

The walk into town is about 20 minutes and in the immediate area they really only have the Motel Restaurant, A Restaurant at the Lobster Lodge behind the Motel, Or another one at Tonquin Inn next to the Hotel.

They had a coin operated laundry which i used although the room seemed poorly maintained. By the way it's located in between Room 145 and 146, They never mention that in the Guest Directory., i ended up having to ask them!

Never tried the pool or spa, but i wasn't impressed by them, and the whole place just had an unfriendly feeling to it.

Never Again!
