Me and my girlfriend stayed in a river front bungalow we absolutley loved it, small but very cozy..The views of the Athabasca river and Mt. Edith Cavell were outstanding, it was very quiet there just the way we like it and pretty private compared to other place's we have stayed at depending which cabin u stay in though..We enjoyed watching the elk graze through the property very nice.We also got to enjoy Jasper's Canada day celebrations with fireworks and all, which was really good!It was nice not having any electronic devices around like Tv's etc and being able to prepare our own meals outside on the barby with a nice refreshing brewski listening to the sounds of the athbasca river. The staff were very helpfull with any questions we had and very nice to talk to..The only complaint we had was we only stayed for 5 nites which really wasn't enough time to see all the sights through out the parks so we are going back to pine bungalows for 2 weeks this time and reserved the same cabin and gotta great early bird rate...Were looking forward to returning to pine bungalows this summer cant wait!! And out of the 3 place's we stayed at in the rockies this was our favorite and best location, many major attractions just a short drive away...Perfect getaway......

Our little bungalow was small but adequate and homely. We were next to the river and on our first evening, we had a caribou mother and her child nibbling at the grass in front of our bungalow - it was lovely to watch (from inside of course). It was so peaceful at night too. We were self-catering so the bungalow had everything we needed plus there is a laundry room on site for you to do your washing and drying. If you need things like TV, radio, phones they do not have those things - the place is purely for relaxation only. They do have pay phones dotted around the site so you can make calls if you need to.

We were just outside of town, I would say walking to town would take about 20 minutes, quite pleasant once you cross over the intersection.

We would definitely stay there again.

We book every year at this facility for our family Thanksgiving celebration. The administration/owners are exceptionally helpful and always go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This Thanksgiving the temperature dropped to the lowest it has been for a very, very, long time. We were supplied with an abundance of extra blankets and given free wood to burn in our fireplaces, to keep our cabins warm.

We always book two older Heritage cabins side-by-side to house our family members and granddaughter. Those cabins are always immaculately clean. This year we were ecstatic because Elk actually wandered right into the complex. I've never stayed at Pine cabins without seeing some kind of wildlife wander through.

We couldn't have received more apologies than we did from the management because of the frigid temperature, in view of the cold snap. They kindly gave us a discount because we were without hot water. They supplied us with a key to one of their motel rooms for showering, which we were extremely thankful for.

I love this facility and couldn't imagine not travelling there for Thanksgiving. Our whole family feel the same. It is so quiet, peaceful, natural, relaxing and so environmentally conscious. Jasper is always perfect., no matter what the weather. It's a picture postcard, come alive. This year we were able to walk along the Athabasca River, which is situated by Pine Bungalows and watch ice flows in the river. That's a first for me.

The resident dog was still around and we were pleased to have him visit every day. He is a very calm, well mannered dog, that adds character to the facility. Our seven year old granddaughter, as usual, wouldn't leave without stroking him goodbye. A Pine Bungalow guest left a review complaining about this dog, one has to wonder why.

If you are looking for a natural environment then this is the place to be. I entered a more detailed review after our Thanksgiving stay last year, should anyone like to search for it.

Cabins have already been booked for us for next Thanksgiving, in the newer cabins as the owners have decided to shut the older cabins down next year, before the Thanksgiving weekend. Next Thanksgiving, another grandchild will be able to experience our tradition at Pine Bungalows, as our daughter is expecting another baby in January, 2010.

Our family love our time together in this peaceful setting. Our evenings are spent playing board games, around a wood fire, in one of our cabins. It's extremely cosy and makes us feel together.

Thank you Pine Bungalows for another lovely stay. This year the temp. was low but the air smelt crisp and beautiful and the night sky was so clear that the stars were totally visible. Jasper never fails to amaze me.

Great location but the owner is a complete lowlife. Caught him screaming & degrading his staff which were 2 foreign ladies, right in front of my husband who was waiting to check out. After my husband made a comment that this should issue should be haddled in a different fashion and at a different time. The owner turned went into the back and hid. When he thought my husband was gone he came back out and proceeded to degrade the women again, spotted my husband standing outside, he again turned and hid in the back. His dog roams the grounds which is fine, but gave us ladies trouble when we said that it got in our garbage. Yet joked with the guys about it before hand when they told him. He is a coward.

We have stayed here many times and are never disappointed. We had a two bedroomed detached log cabin to share with our friends. This is a peaceful rustic location on the banks of the Athabasca River. The bungalows are well fitted out and very clean with full kitchens and an outside BBQ. Luxury is it not, but clean and comfortable it is. Each cabin is completely self contained. The site is within walking distance of Jasper, if you like to walk, but a short car ride if not. There are also short walks along the river. For a nice place to stay in an expensive tourist area of Canada this is a gem.

We stayed in pine bungalows for 4 nights at 150 USD per night in early September. We rented a historic along the river, i believe it was cabin #18. The room had a queen bed, a basic full bath with plenty of hot water, a cute kitchenette (small oven, sink, toaster, small coffee maker...), fire place, small kitchen table w/ chairs and a few other lounge chairs. Every cabin has a picnic table and small grille outside. The river is a few steps away and luckily we were there after mosquito season, so no problems with that. The location was fantastic. Tucked away about 5 minute drive from Jasper townsite so it was quiet and secluded, but close to the amenities of town. The only problem we had which i see others had was the mice. We discovered them the morning after our first night there...our muffins on teh counter had been chewed. They chewed through my husbands pack which had trail mix in it!! After that we told the front desk, and they gave us one of those things you plug in which didnt help at all. I saw one run across the floor one night and even after we put the food away in the trunk every night, we saw dropppings on teh counter and mantle. I think its just the time of year, or maybe this specific cabin. It wasnt terrible, and they dont use poison so not sure what can be done (maybe traps?) . Anyway, aside from that, the place was fantastic and i would still stay there again. Staff is very helpful and friendly and there is a trail along the river for a quiet stroll.

We booked for two nights and stayed for four - it was a wrench to leave such a tranquil spot, away from the commercialism of the high street. The wandering elk were an unexpected bonus, and the environmentally minded management is a feature to be greatly commended. I wish this haven was on our doorstep instead of 1000s of miles away, but its memories will sustain me through the grey British winter.
