“Hike to the top of Northern Jasper”

This hike has a considerable elevation gain (some 700 m), but it is relatively straightforward and very rewarding for the views that await at the top. It can be done in 3 hours. Best experience it early morning, when there is a better chance of clear skies and uninstructed panorama. The added bonus is that the earlier you go, the fewer people there will be. It gets pretty crowded after 10 am. We got to the top at 9:30 and were the only people there and we saw some wildlife. We felt we were on top of the world.
Once you get down, don't miss a dip in the Miette hot springs at the trailhead - a perfect culmination of this half-day adventure

this is one of my favorite hikes in the area... it doesn't take very long to complete but it can be rough. the very last part before the top is pretty steep, but the views (especially at the top) throughout are amazing! also, check out the awesome hot springs stuff near the trailhead...

The trail is long, and steep (it starts out a little steep and becomes rather steep on the final 'summit push') so be sure to bring water, something to eat and the physical condition to match the effort needed. Having said that, if you take your time and walk slowly and remember to rest - the view from the summit is stunning and will probably take your breath away (if the final ascent hasn't).

The trail is really awesome.. you have a fantastic view from the top, an have picknick there and watch many animals..
If you are fit enough you will get it done within 1.5-2 hours in total (so you have enough time to do other things as well)
When you are back in the parking slot you can go to the springs, for us it was too expansive and too many people there. On the way to the top or back you have enough possibilities to sit and relax and enjoy the weather...

This is a 4k hike up 700m. It's pretty steady going although the last hike to the summit is a little rougher and can be a pull if you are tired? The effort is worth it with 360degree views. Good picnic area and plan drop into the sulphur springs at the end of the walk by the car park to freshen up, it's fab, so take you towel and swimwear
