The location is great. The lodge was quiet and the view along the river was wonderful. There are picnic tables and Adirondack chairs overlooking the river. It's close to town for restaurants and shopping and has convenient road access to get to places in the National Park.
Most everything was good and comfortable. The bathroom shower was fine, plenty of hot water but there was only a small amount of soap. I don't know if this was because we opted to forego housekeeping for a small discount in the restaurant. If you needed more soap they were happy to give it to you. The bathroom sink was missing a drain plug and the hair dryer fell off the wall while you were using it. Both things could be rectified easily and the lodge should take care of it. The kitchen was well stocked but could have used a good bread knife. We only ate breakfast in.
The lodge had 2 beds. However one of them was placed inside a cubby, 3 sides of the bed were enclosed by walls. It had no window. The access to the bed had a curtain you could draw to close it off from the common space. I'm 5"2" and my feet almost touched the end of the bed. If you're tall and/or claustrophobic this may be uncomfortable.
The other bed does not have a room divider and is in full view of the common...The location is great. The lodge was quiet and the view along the river was wonderful. As far as the restaurant is concerned we only ate breakfast there. It was good and the servers were nice. We sat near the fireplace. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not but there was a smell of waste nearby that wasn't appetizing.More
