The picture's of the inside of the cabins do not truly reflect the cramped quarters of the the cabin we had. There was no room for luggage and we were alway moving around chairs in order to put the heater on or use the fire place. The cabin is way too small to have a kitchen in it. Over all we were extremely disappointed in the size and would not recommend.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience as we do have several cabins that are quite spacious and offer a lot of room to move around in. If you choose to come back again please let us know and we can make a suggestion for a larger unit.

How refreshing to find accommodation where you can enjoy the great outdoors, forget the rest of the world and have all the luxury of en-suite bathroom a well equipped kitchen in a cabin with a splendid restaurant on your doorstep. The Children loved toasting marshmallows and we all enjoyed the BBQ package - all the fun of a BBQ without the hassle of the preparation of the meats. If you can live without the electronic world for a moment or two this is a true delight.

Room tip: Room layout was a little quirky with one bed in a curtained off corner and the other tucked under two windows - with fantastic views of the wildlife first thing in the morning. Room was well equipped and had a really cosy cabin feel to it.

We have been at the Tekarra Lodge a year ago and had a rather small cabin. This year the cabin was quite spacious and comfortable. There is everything you need including a kitchen that we did not use. Ideal also for self caterers. We have sen quite a few guests having a BBQ in front of the cabin. Apparently you can rent the equipment. The cabins are wide enough apart to allow for a quiet sleep even wihen the windows are open. Everything, the cabins, the restaurant, the ground around the cabins is kept very clean. I shall write a separate review for the restuarant - it is certainy worth visiting!
The lodge is less than 2km from the centre of Jasper, you can easily walk there or get there by taxi in less than 10 minutes (we had come by train).
I can whole-heartedly recommend the Tekarra Lodge!

Room tip: Try to get one of the bigger cabins

Thank you for your review and we hope that you return next summer and try the BBQ package offering. Guests are finding it quite fun and less hassle as we prepare everything for you and then you just have to cook it.

Property itself did not meet expectations based on website description. While stay was pleasent we felt we could get better in the area. Property was dated. Grounds were lovely and only a short 1km walk from jasper centre.

Just terrible, me and my husband came here on the last two days of our honeymoon. Starting with check in the staff refused to talk to us and helped everyone else even people who came in after us. After finally getting served to check in we where treated rudely and given dirty looks by staff and people staying here. Mostly because we are a very young couple and it seems like the people staying here are old and grumpy with a scatter of some family's. The area is beyond noisy with children screaming and running everywhere. The cabin is so cramped we have no where to put our suitcase except the middle of the floor. And the walls aren't very sound proof so you can hear all the noises outside. Defiantly not worth the $300 plus dollars for a night. I would pay $60 at most for this terrible cabin. Not worth it. Tenting without showers and pit toilets seem better than this rip off.
