The trail takes you along the edge of the lush green forest line (bring mosquito spray). Some steep inclines, but we were rewarded with lush green meadows, beautiful flowers and glancing over at the face of the mountain to see just how high you've climbed makes it all worth while.
We were told by some uniformed parks employee, parked at the driving entryway that the meadows were "closed" to restoration - but we still ascended high enough with magnificent views that we thought it was all worthwhile!
