great staff, rooms were very big and clean, close to West Edmonton Mall. the Pool closed while we were there, for 2 of the 3 days we stayed. Grandchildren were very upset!!!I called for an extra blanket and was delivered within 5 mins.

Second time staying in a Hyatt Place hotel, the other location downtown was not so great a few months back. however, this location seems to have it all going good. Friendly staff at check in and large spacious rooms were relaxing and enjoyable. Bit of a dissapointment to arrive and find the pool and hot tub both off line---had to ask for a discount on the room rate which was provided, but should probably be proactively offered along with the less than amazing news in order for it to feel a bit more welcoming.

As others suggest, the breakfast room has fairly inadequate seating for the rush of people here---be sure to eat before 8am. Overall, nice stay in a great Edmonton location---just working out the kinks of being a newer property I think.

Room Tip: 6th floor is nice, ask for west side to watch the sunset

Dear Banffperson,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us of your most recent stay with us at Hyatt Place Edmonton West. Thank you for acknowledging the efforts of my team. We do place tent cards on top of each bed which advise the times to expect no lines and times to expect long lines. To ensure everyone has seating we do open our meetings rooms for overflow seating as well. I apologize the inconvenience of the pool and hot tub being closed during your stay however we needed to ensure they were both safe for all guests to use prior to opening. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to welcoming you back soon on your next visit to Edmonton.

Excellent hotel. Very modern and sparkling clean. The room was the quietest I ever experienced . Staff very pleasant and accommodating and the included breakfast was of a very high quality with fresh ingredients. Real scrambled eggs.
Only negative was that they couldn’t provide a bathtub stool for my special needs grandson. They exist, and the hotel should get some for instances like this. Elderly people can use them as well.
Overall, a very good experience

We drove from Jasper to Edmonton for the final couple of days of our family holiday before heading back to Calgary and flying back to the UK. After a week in the Rockies, the kids wanted to spend some time (and money) in West Edmonton Mall (WEM) and this hotel looked ideally located.

I booked 2 queen rooms direct with Hyatt - we requested inter-connecting rooms but these weren’t available and adjacent was the best we could get. Each room had two double beds and a sofa bed - they were spacious, clean, very modern and looked almost new. We also paid a bit extra to have a room on a high floor and we got the top floor (7th floor) which was nice and quiet and therefore something I’d recommend doing.

The location is good with plenty of free parking. Finding it without sat nav could be tricky, however. It is a couple of kilometres from WEM and easy to drive to - the biggest issue is that the hotel is on the left side of a big road; to get to WEM you need to turn right fairly quickly, which involves crossing 4 or 5 lanes and so you need to be patient and wait for traffic to subside. A taxi to WEM is around C$10.

Breakfast was free but very chaotic with lots of families and insufficient space (we stayed over the public holiday weekend in early August). The pool was similarly busy, hence we didn’t get the opportunity to use it.

There are lots of eating options nearby but you’ll need to drive or get a take away delivered. The hotel sells some light snacks, coffee etc. but probably not substantial enough as a main meal for most. There is a fridge and kettle in the rooms but no means to cook / heat food.

For the price, this hotel represented amazing value and I’d happily stay here again....or indeed seek out other Hyatt Place properties elsewhere on the strength of this stay.

I love this hotel. The location is good, the staff is always attentive, and it has a clean bright and modern decor. The gym is great. Breakfast is always fresh and there is a good variety. Nice lounge area to eat and hang out in.
