We were there hoping for some authentic maybe flavourful Thai food but were really disappointed. The restaurant was really busy so we had to be seated in the bar area which from past experience in other restaurants always means slow service. Sure enough the service was slow and indifferent. The food was bland and had no spices what so ever, This place definitely caters to people who like the fake stuff. Wouldn't go back!

If you are looking for a nice cocktail and lounge place they do have an attractive decor but definitely not a good place for an authentic meal.

We're a group of higher education professionals who gather from all over the province to share ideas, issues, concerns and challenges. At the end of the first day of meetings, we had dinner @ Lazia, downtown. We were delighted with the special "two items for $20.13" menu. As we are all on restricted budgets and regulations concerning separate bills individually and for adult beverages, we were delighted with the waiter's " no problem" attitude.
To a person, we enjoyed our appetizers, entrees and desserts.
The area was quiet enough to allow easy dialogue, yet when we laughed,we didn't feel like we were disruptive.

Dear CanadaCate,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy to hear that your group enjoyed their time at Lazia. We have spent many years trying to hone our abilities to accommodate separate bills because we understand that companies and institutions have increasingly strict rules regarding hospitality expenses.

If you would like to come back with a group, I just wanted to let you know we have a really excellent private wine room that fits 6 people with ease. This room has its own lighting and sound settings to accommodate any type of meeting or event. In addition we have a Private Dining Room at the back of Lazia Downtown to accommodate large groups of 20-40 if you want to hold a large function we have hosted sit down and social stand-up receptions. If you are interested in the future ask for Jim or Tan and they will take good care of you!

Thank you again for your feedback regarding your business lunch. Our $20.13 is very popular this year and we're glad you enjoyed the selection!

All the best,
Tamara

overpriced for the food you get. Food was good but not that great. Average. The cheese fondue appetizer was amazing.

Thank A H

Dear A H,

I'm sorry that you did not have an amazing experience at Lazia Downtown. I too am a huge fan of both the Pretzel Mini Buns & Gooey Cheese Fondu. The Spinach Dip Con Queso is also quite delicious! We are very sensitive to how people feel about our prices because we aim to provide the highest quality, local ingredients at the best price possible.

We would love to chat with you more regarding your expectations and see what we can do to provide more options to make you and all of our guests happy.

Please feel free to contact me any time at: admin@lazia.ca

All the best,
Tamara

Excellent food and service. Eaten here several times and haven't been disappointed. Would recommend the calamari but all on the menu is tasty.

We booked a group for New Years Eve at Lazia. This was not our first time there, in fact we have often gone to both their downtown and North Edmonton locations. The food has always been really good and the atmosphere very relaxing and not too loud for visitng with our friends. On New Years Eve they had a set menu so I tried their steak and lobster which I had never ordered from there before. I asked for a medium steak, but this one was rarer than rare. The blood ran freely all over the plate and sort of ruined the lovely veggies and potatoes. My daughter urged me to return it to the kitchen, which, in retrospect I should have done. However the place was so busy and we were having a nice visit with friends I did not want to create a scene. So long story short, nice place, good food (usually) and good service. Just avoid the steak or be really clean what you think medium is!
