Used to be one of our favourite restaurants, kind of a hidden gem...not any more. Now you order at the counter and pay up front. No real wine selection (Copper Moon?) to speak of. We had oysters, they should have been colder. Then we had the halibut which was nicely cooked but the rice & vegies were quite bad. What have they done to this restaurant?

I ordered the Friday night special which was Steak & Lobster.

If a customer tells you the lobster smells and tastes like ammonia the food should instantly be taken back!!

The waitress insisted that since the food was partially eaten she could do nothing about it even after she was asked to smell the lobster. Her reply was that she had a cold and could not smell it.

Are you not concerned about the safety of your customers!! IF THE LOBSTER SMELLS AND TASTES LIKE AMMONIA IT IS NO LONGER GOOD!!!

If you don't believe the customer and can not smell it get someone else to smell it. ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Returned again for our annual Halibut and chips. Never let us down. This fish is so good. I ordered just Halibut and salad and it was well cooked and delicious. My husband had the halibut and chips which was also excellent however the prepared coleslaw served with this was a bit tired. No matter the focus was the fish which was excellent

I agree with recent reviewers. Poor service, side dishes are poorly prepared, even the fish was not well prepared, overdone. Service was spotty and I ended up "self-serving". I think their business model should stick to what they do well, sell fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant operation just brings them down I am afraid to say.

We had the salmon with french fries meal which was supposed to be served with a vegetable. The fries tasted like they had been cooked a week ago and reheated in old old oil. The salmon had a funky flavor to it but the portion size was adequate. No veggies ever appeared.
The second meal was oysters with fries...see comment about the fries above. The oysters were prepared with nice planko crumbs but unfortunately were cooked so much that you could've played hockey with them.
The only saving grace for the place was that the server was very friendly and polite. I would suggest trying the market aspect of the business and preparing it at home.
