John Janzen nature centre is next to Fort Edmonton, this facility is free. Wooded walks, a small pond where you can catch bugs and tadpoles. Inside is a educational facility, bathrooms and play area for children. Perfect for picnics and walks in the woods.

Spring Break, the nature centre had adveritized crafts and a nature walk for young children. I took my Granddaughter to enjoy this event.
So disappointed no one was there to run the craft or talk about nature. After 25 min I ask if anyone was coming. There was no paint left out for the craft, one paint brush, dried up makers, scraps of paper to make a flower vase, example do it yourself. Children want thing to do , 1hour and a half before they can go on the nature walk. Doesn't work. Parents left without going on the nature walk or even attempting a craft. Gee Recycling craft low cost idea just need to care enough to plan.
Too many staff not working and doing there job.
Please who ever is managing this place needs to learn quality of presentation and work ethics. Then teach this to your staff.
You have a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in Edmonton, Please do it.
Lizzie
