“Part of Alberta's History”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

I recently attended a business function at the Government House in Edmonton. I doubt that it attracts many visitors each year but it is worth a visit. It's a wee bit hard to find (tucked away behind the Museum). It has a neat collection of historically significant artifacts and some canadian painting (including two A. Y. Jacksons). It is a lovely stately old house perfect for meetings or just a quick visit.

“Superb Art Collection”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

I have the opportunity to visit Government House as an employee. If you love Canadian and Alberta art there is a wonderful collection. The grounds are quite attractive and the site can be booked for functions. The dining room is quite large and pleasant. The building's history is quite interesting and there are guided tours.
