this is basically a sports bar with food
although there is a small upstairs restaurant which is just a little quieter
down stairs is noisy
food OK but expensive
waiting staff attentive
this is either your type of place or its not
probably more fun for a drink that for a quiet meal

Very friendly service staff. Food was quick with excellent presentations. Good work. Nice place for dinner or just meet for drinks.

We made reservations online using Open Table for the west-end Chops Bar and Steakhouse. Of course when we arrived we had to wait up to 15 minutes for a table. We were asked if we would like to sit in the lounge as they had immediate seating, we declined. I had requested and made reservations for the dining room NOT the lounge.

We were both excited to see Chops was offering a crab special for the month of April. We each ordered the Crab Tacos and Steak and Crab. The crab tacos were excellent and Chops should keep this as a regular menu item. The steak and crab feature was disappointing.
Our steaks were okay however the crab was a big let down. At $36.95 a plate they should be serving you Alaskan King crab and not "SNOW" crab. "Common management, failing to mention this on your menu is a rip off"

Normally for a nice steak and seafood dinner we usually like to go to Rics Grill or the Sawmill. The Sawmill has an excellent deal on a dinner for two, which includes; soup / salad, Steak & King Crab, Lobster tails and Shrimp, choice of sides plus dessert all for $99.95 per couple. This is an awesome deal and very hard to finish and most likely you will be taking some home.
It will be a long time before we return to Chops.

This place has a great loung with outstanding and attentive wait staff. The ambience of the place is fantastic but it begins and ends with the staff that is there is ensure you are taken care of.

Pounding dance music blaring televisions indifferent service by poorly trained staff whose only qualification for the job seemed to be the shortness of their skirts. Even the bartender did not know how to make a dry martini...sad!
