it is a great place in summer or winter, the kids can play in the water and then go skating in the winter, lots of local events are held in front of city haall so it is a very central hub for many things

Love the design of Edmonton City Hall and enjoy the fact that people can enjoy wading in the pool/ fountains during the hot weather and skate outside during the winter.

Some of Edmonton's coolest and most unique architecture is around and includes City Hall. Particularly in summer, there is always a lot going on in this area, and the wading pool is a hit with young families.

Compact but inviting, City Hall seems always open and welcoming to visitors. It hosts a surprising number of events free to the public -- concert performances, recitals, speakers. The centre city farmers market moves in here during the colder months. And the restaurant -- Kids in the Hall, employing disadvantaged youth -- is not at all bad. The building is a great, light filled shelter on a winter walk. In the summer, the fountain has pleasantly shaded tables and the public is welcome to wade in on hot days. This place truly belongs to the people of Edmonton.
