Every pizza maker should take note- this is how pizza should be done everywhere. It's truly unbelievable what we've gotten used to. The menu has many different types of pizzas, something for every taste. Will definitely visit again when I return to Edmonton. The interior is very well done. We sat on the back patio, but inside seems like it might be a great place to spend time. Also in a great location on Whyte Avenue.

I love real italian pizza, but here in Canada most of them are american style - thick paste and ketchup. But in Famosa you will taste delicious dough with the taste of tomatoes))) I love Margarita and Quatro Fromages, nothing else should be added to real pizza))))

Nicest pizza I have had in Edmonton, freshly made in a big wood oven in front of your eyes with imported Italian flour - yummy!

Went to the downtown location in Edmonton for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the pizzetta and salad. One of the pizzas arrived a little over done and had a slight burnt taste, the bottom crust had black patches , so we asked them to re do it and they were more than apologetic and accommodating, they remade it and didn't charge us for it. Great customer service.

Reading gush reviews of a place that was dreadful on our first try, we tried the new one, by West Edmonton Mall. Ordered extra-crisp with anchovies, extra-crisp with cheese. Got slightly blackened crusts, both with cooled and saggy dough. Ingredients seemed a notch above famous Tony's Pizza Palace, but the pizza lacked crust body and cooled within seconds to morning-after refrigerated temp.
That's 2 tries, no successes, so if, like us, pizza means thin but sturdy, unburnt, and tasty, skip Famosa. Worse than the weak-kneed pie was the place's layout: Dinette-like small tables you select your own and seat yourself, pick food, go order it at counter and sit back amid tv-noise and nearby talkers. The seats are McDonalds quality -- straight and comfort-free, the tables Wendy style but far more cramped. The noise was bar, not barista, style. We hungered to leave. But: if high-grade tomatoes and cheese outweigh soggy saggy, and if cool and bland is perfect, then Famosa's may score higher for you. No tongue ever got burned here.Great, but isn't "danger" Italian for excitement?
