“Take Time To Enjoy!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I've been to the Melting Pot a dozen times - the service is always great and the food amazing. It takes a few hours to dine properly here - take your time. Make sure to try each course - cheese fondue, salad, entree and dessert. Go starving... Nothing will disappoint. Make sure (women will know what I'm talking about) you wear something that is washable or won't soak up smells... this is a great restaurant, but with dozens of fondue pots boiling, you end up smelling like fondue - your hair, clothes, etc. Amazing place, unique and the servers always do a great job of explaining the process thoroughly.

we had reservations-6.30-took us in on time-started of great
as for the decor was not impressed looks like earls nothing special.
service was great .
downfall of the restuarant-it s all about the food.
starters pot spinach/cheese fondue-good helping/tasty.
main course poor serving not enough beef/chicken/ poor selection on veg-2 baby potatoes sliced in 1/4- 6 mushrooms-4 spears of broccolli
desert serving good-but they do this because main course food not enough.
4 drinks-1 coffee.
$300.00 tab -not worth for the value-will not recommend for the valve of food provided

“Yikes!”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

The best experience of the evening was meeting Laura, our server. Her pleasant demeanor and kind attitude saved the evening from a service perspective. The menu is complicated and the customer is drilled by the server whose job it is to explains its contents. It was clear that their gimmick is for customers to chose the menu "package" consisting of three fondues and an item that was sold as "salad". The cheese fondue was lacking texture and taste. I suspect that the Swiss cheese came right from a processed package. No quality here! The salad portion was laughable. When I expressed concern with the spinach salad that was placed in front of me, the "Chef" appeared explaining that is was a "wilted" spinach salad. Well, that was indeed an exact description of what I saw on the plate. I could not eat it. I was offered an alternate salad and chose the iceberg lettuce. Admittedly, it was edible and crisp. When the platter of raw shrimp, chicken and beef arrived, I was shocked. Combining these raw items on one plate is a health concern. The broth that was served to cook the raw items in tasted like it was a processed mix of salt and other imitation spices. I was unable to eat any of it. The chocolate fondue was bearable but I had to wonder what ratio of chocolate to cooking oil was in the pot. I will certainly never, ever, ever, recommend nor return to this restaurant.
