Stayed here for a week with the US Air Force. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly. This hotel, as mentioned in other reviews, is EXTREMELY loud. There is a 2 inch crack under each door that they say is for "heating" and it lets everything in. The cleaning staff starts at 8 oclock sharp and bangs up and down the hall the rest of the day. For people working nights like we were this was really bad. We were looking for a hotel to host 50 of our crewmembers in May and due to the noise issue we looked elsewhere. Downtown is also pretty sterile. Stay out towards Whyte Ave. if you are going to Edmonton...avoid this hotel at all costs if you want a good nights sleep.

I was in Edmonton on business and most of the big name hotels were fully booked so I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. It was very close to where I was working, though not in the nicest part of downtown Edmonton. The hotel itself doesn't present many frills as it is an "express" hotel, but it is adequate. I stayed in a room with two queen beds. All the hotel amenities you may expect were available, TV, internet connection, iron, coffee maker, etc. The room was generally clean and adequate. The bed was comfortable. The only suggestion I would have for the hotel is to steam clean their carpets. There were stains on the carpets and the carpets could use a good steam cleaning. There was a pool and an exercise room, which I did not have time to explore. All in all it was an okay hotel to stay in. The cost was also cheap for a downtown hotel.
The continental breakfast provided more than the usual continental breakfast as it included bacon and eggs with cheese folded in the middle as well as the muffins, cereal, fruit and toast you usually get. There was a sign in the breakfast room saying that the hotel would be changing to down duvets and down pillows soon. That would entice me to stay again.

We got a very good deal on the hotel's website, and stayed here for 2 nights in September. I have to say there isnt much exceptional with the place, but also nothing bad. The parking is very tight, and there aren't alot of spaces. The hotel is clean, and it is conveniently located in downtown.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The room was fine but every time a door shut down the hallyway in another room it banged very loudly thereby making it difficult to sleep. The staff and breakfast were excellent. Parking wasn't the easiest as you park in the lot beside the hotel (for a $5.00/day fee) and if you don't get there early enough you may not find a spot to park. As it was we had to squeeze in beside the fence and another car - hardly enough room and it was the last spot and we weren't that late getting to the hotel (before 11:00 p.m.)

I probably wouldn't stay there again due to the noise.

This is a Holiday Inn without a restaurant, or parking ($5 lot next door), and the same old stinky, stained brown HI carpet. It's also exceptionally noisy. Doors slamming can be heard down the hallway. Fitness room is two treadmills and some weights. Staff is very friendly, free breakfast, and it's near the University, but if you're looking for an Express stay elsewhere. I will.
