Great hotel - we stayed here for one night in May 2014. Got a great hotwire rate. Hotel is clean, modern and the rooms were very nice, clean and very comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean and bright. Handy location as we had a function in Sherwood Park, only 10 minutes away. Overall, would highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again. They had facilities we didn't use such as fitness center, restaurant etc. There is a Wendy's in the same parking lot.

Not the comfy bed and pillows I was expecting from a Sheraton/Weston, but it was fine. Room was clean and the only complaint I have is that the carpet needs to be stretched... it is a tripping hazard. Ok, 1 more complaint... the water pressure sucks! In both the sink and the shower and we weren't showering at peak times. The front desk said that isn't normal so will prob be fixed by now. I would have put excellent for value, but friends who were staying there the same weekend paid $30 less per night for their room.

A decent hotel but certainly nothing remarkable. The air handling units in the rooms are an impediment to restful sleep until you get used to them. The room we were in also had a strange smell which did not dissipate over time.

This was a recommended stay for a hockey tournament in April, 2014. I was happy to see we had a Four Points recommended to us, as I'm an SPG member, and really like the Four Points brand. Unfortunately the property is an old bunker-style Holiday Inn that they've put lipstick onto, and to be honest, the lobby area was quite nice.

A trip to the restaurant on the first evening there, onsite, was horrible. We had two young boys with us, and to wait an hour for two orders of wings and some nachos is ridiculous. Both boys couldn't eat as they were falling asleep at the table. Strike One.

The hotel management was quite amenable in helping us secure a room to have a Team Get-together...we just wanted a place for the kids to decompress after three games of hockey in one day, and have some pizza and drinks. We were COMMANDED to use the onsite catering. One of the players, my son in fact, had his birthday that weekend, and the team had a cake brought in, but again by the HOTEL'S rules...it could NOT be an ice-cream cake...it had to have come from a bakery. Not sure why. Things really got dicey when the hotel wouldn't let the Team's Coach/Family take the leftover pizza...there wasn't a whole bunch of it, but they stated it was "for food-health reasons". One of the parents is in the hospitality/food industry, and he'd asked, "What about the caesar salad that's been sitting out for the last two hours...isn't that unsafe?" We were met with blank stares. Strike two.

Strike Three: restaurant, for breakfast. We tried the "breakfast buffet" one morning, and that sealed it for us...we were never returning. They had TWO wait staff for a singificantly-sized restaurant. One poor girl, who was actually a good server, ran her BUTT off, while the second guy hid in the kitchen, and served only ONE table. People notice this stuff, believe me. Next, the "buffet" literally BARELY had any food in it...a full tub of sausages, three strips of leathery bacon, and no eggs. The fresh fruit/cottage cheese/cereal stuff was fine...but of course, packaged stuff usually is. REALLY POOR FOOD MANAGEMENT, period.

Don't get me wrong -- it just appears that the staff should be commended, as they truly gave effort, for the most part...aside from Food Services, which in my opinion, should be gutted entirely.

Pool is TINY, and the gym is nearly non-existent...tough for a hockey crowd.

I understand that some hockey teams give others a bad name....but we have truly a good set of kids AND coaches, who'd stressed that we had to respect the facilities and the people who work in them...and our kids were damn near perfect in that regard. In fact, the front desk staff said our team was the best they'd seen, and the best of the four other teams that had stayed there that weekend.

The Team Manager (wife of the Head Coach) has advised the Tournament Organizers to NOT RECOMMEND this hotel any longer. The organizers told us that we weren't the only team to say so, and will be removing the hotel from their recommended list.

Use at your own risk, all!

I have never been dissapointed by a Four Points hotel; and it has proven to be one of the better hotel chains out there. Stayed here while helping a friend move to Edmonton. Price was $125 for the Sunday night.

Positives:
- Free parking
- Free internet
- Mini fridge in room
- Beautiful lobby/ main floor
- Great room service; ordered dinner and breakfast- both offered large portions and were delish. [But may I suggest they add some type of gravy or sauce on top of the rice? It was a bit bland]

Negatives:
- Bathroom is tiny
- Tv kept turning on/off... not sure if this had to do with Shaw or the tv itself, but they should definitely look into fixing that. Sorry I couldn't be bothered while there, to report it
- They charge gratuity AND a delivery charge for room service
- They would not allow us to do late checkout; which is quite odd. Over the years, I have never been at a hotel that didn't accommodate any late checkout requests, even if it may be as little as 1 hour or if they had to charge you a little fee.
- Girl working the front desk that Monday morning was soo dismissive and unfriendly. But I chose to overlook it as all the other staff were quite nice up until that point

This is a great standard hotel; highly recommendable if you are looking to stay within the South area of Edmonton.

Room Tip: Better off eating at the restaurant next door to avoid the expensive room service

We checked out the 2nd day due to room smell, wheelchair access was too small and the next morning while going to my vehicle there was at least six people arguing in main entrance into the motel. I made the decision to leave and was able to find a more accessible room for my mother who is dying of cancer and wanted this trip to be comfortable for her.

Room Tip: I really don't care at this point because I do not plan on ever booking a room there in the futu...
