What a great hotel. It's a older classic hotel that has through major revocations, updates, and upgrades that give this hotel charm and character. The customer service is out of this world and other hotels should really take notes from this one. It is also very clean, centrally located and full of all the ememities you may need.

I had stayed at The Sutton Place in Toronto a number of years ago and was really happy with the experience. We decided that we would stay at the same name hotel in Edmonton a total of 3 nights. Upon driving up to the hotel, we were not greeted by anyone which was fine. We went inside to register. The gentleman who assisted us was very courteous. When we were done, we went back outside to unload our vehicle. The Concierge came running up apologizing that he was busy with somebody else. We declined his assistance as most of the luggage had been loaded onto the cart.
He aggressively insisted, and my husband had to drive our vehicle down the street to Staples because our vehicle was too tall to fit inside their 6'6 garage. I wondered what they do in the winter for customers in this predicament who require their vehicle to be plugged in?
The rest of the evening was okay, and realise that the renovations were just a normal thing of life with their attempt to upgrade this hotel. At some point, this would have to happen in any hotel.
The pool was lovely with the hot tub on the top floor. Clean towels were in abundance.
However, the maid everyday did not leave clean towels, made a terrible attempt at making the bed, and left a film of dust everywhere!
We normally would leave a tip, but felt cleaning staff was undeserving.
When we ordered room service for desert, the choice was very weak, and was out of a number of things. Coffee was inconsistant, strong, then weak, then just awful!
We could overlook the renovations as "moving forward" sometimes means "inconvience".
I think we could have had a better experience at a Super 8! At least I would be able to park on the lot!
Id like to leave this on a more positive note, and mention the beds were very comfortable.

I was disappointed with the state of the hotel. The building itself was rundown, but generally clean.
Our room again was not disastrous; however, just not what I would expect when staying at a Sutton hotel. The TV was big and old, no face clothes in the room and only 2 towels until we asked for more.
Service at the front desk was less than exceptional. The "taste of Edmonton" was taking place near to the hotel, and we were not told about it when we asked for a suggestion on where to eat that night. Unfortunately we found out after we had walked a lot further in the opposite direction, then came back full and couldn't great food there.
We asked for information from the concierge 2 times and were told they would get back to us with the info, but we never heard from them.
A package was delivered to the front desk for us, which we didn't know about. We checked out and found out from the person who sent the package that there was a package sent to the hotel for us, the night before we checked out. We called the hotel and yes, the package was there, but they didn't tell us when we checked out.

When I was a kid (25 years ago...) when my mom was on business travel we got to stay here when it was the Four Seasons Hotel, and it was a luxurious treat.

Unfortunately this is not the same hotel and this old girl is showing her age. The decor is dark and dated, several of the towels were noticeably frayed, and the flat sheet on the bed actually had two big holes worn in it. The room was always warm despite turning the thermostat all the way down. There was a roll-away bed up against the wall which took up a bit of space, and I'm not sure why it was there. Otherwise the room was standard in size and amenities, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and housekeeping did a good job.

There is a small pool and hot tub on the top floor (you have to walk up a final set of stairs from the elevator to get there, not sure if it is accessible in any other way).

The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Edmonton and next to the City Centre Mall. I didn't notice any noise the two nights I was there.

We stayed here because we got a great deal, and for the same price I would stay again, but their claims of being Edmonton's "premier luxury business hotel" are overstated.

The neighboring room was having loud, wall bashing intercourse off and on from 11:30pm to 5:30am. We called front desk to complain. They say they sent up security but the noise continued. By checkout time they advised us that they asked the offending room couple if they heard anything when they checked out. Odd approach. Next the hotel rep told us it was a busy time in the city with lively events and we should expect late night noises. Again, odd approach. Next they questioned us about details of the incident, but still provided no resolution. They offered in the end, to pay for our parking at the hotel, however we weren't parked there in the first place but somehow they had a $23 parking charge on our bill in error. In the end, we still paid full fees for the night plus the $11 charge for bottled juices. A mere apology was made. We lost a night of sleep, the rooms are not sound proof, there was a globule of sticky white material dried to the alarm, there was food stuck to the remote... And the decor, linens and TV were so dated and worn down... It was a shocking, dissappointing experience and a place we will not only never go back to, but we will be sure to mention to friends, family and colleagues through our social networks to not go there for fear of wasting money and a good nights sleep. Clearly loyalty and word of mouth matters little to them.

We enjoyed our stay at Sutton Place. The rooms are a little dated but ours was clean, had a nice flat screen t.v. and mini fridge. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The staff was always helpful, including spending about 15 helping me print my boarding passes.

Went to this hotel for a week long business trip. Overall, I'm very happy with the experience. The front desk service was great and rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was poor with it's pastry and cereal. Had to get breakfast elsewhere since I'm a breakfast guy. No gym in the hotel itself but they do have a deal with a gym in the next building (not even 5min walk). For $5, you get access to a very nice full gym. I recommend this hotel.
